Trying to speed up my graduation date. I hear that it is good to knock down the more difficult classes in the summer. Shed some light on this?

Depends on the prof. Generally the classes are watered down to fit the time frame. However it is a lot of work for such a small period of time even w/ the course alteration.

depends, some classes are shorter than a regular quarter/semester, so some teachers try to fit EVERYTHING in that shorter time. but mostly my summer classes were easier. but its also a lot harder to concentrate during the summer, especially if you have friends comming down from outta town

Not necessarily......it's more work usually condensed into a few weeks.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I've taken 3 & the worst was Biology because the prof. missed the first week. So we had an even more condensed semester of 3 weeks.

We don't offer many summer courses because of the shorter semester (we have full summer session, first session and 2nd session) so all of the hard/technical classes are fall or spring only.

But focusing on one or two courses rather than 4 or 5 in a regular semester is easier IMO.

Dont know about easier but it sure is shorter, for a lot of people that may be worth it.

more work in a shorter span of time
but i found it a lot easier because it never gave me the chance to slack off and procrastinate
u feel good as hell when that +$#@ is over with though

I like it better, less time to forget the material, and only focus on 2 at a time.

summer school + weather + i guess the weather again + less distractions in school = may make it worthwhile, im assuming.

I heard it's usually easier, because some teachers don't wanna be there.

Yeah, you really need to make sure your schedule is empty, which is difficult in the summer because you'll be urged to sleep in or skip. Some course feel rushed.

I think it's easier because it's shorter. Like they do cram a lot of information in the couple of weeks but it's like less time to forget it. I'm taking my harder classes this summer

I hear this often
Yea that plays a factor also, so they teach it real laxed and chill and all u gotta do is sit there and participate for 3hrs a class and u'll be good considerin u do well on the exams

It really depends on how long the summer semester is. For me, it's 12 weeks, from May 10 to Aug 3. Really long, so it's probably going to be easier than say, a 4 or 6 week term.

i think it's easier because it's only like one or two classes at at time, and it's more of a relaxed setting with it being summer and all.

Much of what i heard is that summer classes are easier. Of course, I'm in the quarter system, so there's also less to pack in compared to you semester kids. The reason I say this is because my friend who failed a class during the regular school year received an A+ when they took it over the summer.
