Taped Box from eBay

Bought a pair of '03 Bugs Bunny 8s off of eBay and it came in a good condition box... Other than the fact that the seller taped all over it and shipped it that way.


Messaged the seller and he replied "would you have preferred if I sent it without the box?"

I feel like the shoes have lost some value now. What should I do?

You can't do much unless the listing stated he would double box the shoes. If this was not stated in the listing he still sold you the shoes as the listing states.

He's being extremely unresponsive on eBay resolution center. I guess I'm going to have to escalate to eBay claim.

Nothing is going to happen unless he stated he was going to ship it double boxed. You are just wasting your time otherwise.

The shoes won't lose value because the box is a bit damaged.  As long as the box didn't directly damage your shoes, it's fine.  Just wear them and enjoy them.
