TECH HEADS.. quick question?? HD related...

Wassup NT.. i got a quick question i hope somebody might be able to answer.. im looking into buying an HD camcorder soon.. still researching and shopping around tryna find the best deals.. but one question ive been unable to come across an answer to is..

When tansfered from SD card to dvd.. will it play in HD?? and also.. if inseretd directly into a TV's memory card reader will it play in HD?

I'm not 100% positive but...
if you put the video on the DVD you can either keep it as is or convert it to a lower resolution (1080p to 720p) and pick a format that your DVD supports or else it won't play.

You could put a raw video on the DVD but it might be to big depending on how long it is (pause). 2 HD formats that you can use are h.264 (common) and .mkv

If you just put the SD card in it should play.

Of course for all this you will need a HDTV.

I'm not sure if I'm right but I tried.

most HD quality video is very large, and could be too large to fit onto a DVD. as long as it fits, it'll play in HD quality.

i read somewhere that in order to get HD quality it must be recorded on to a Blu-ray disc..

can anyone confirm.. its looking like too much must be invested to get HD home videos..

bits are bits.  as long as you have enough space and a cable that supports the transfers you should be good.
