Terrell Owens might have an NFL suitor after all.

Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak said Tuesday that his team probably would consider signing the free-agent wide receiver if Owens is healthy enough to pass a physical.

"That's something that at some point when (Owens') health is better and he can pass a physical -- people thought the midpoint of the season, maybe -- he might be a guy that may be able to work out to prove where he's at," Munchak said on his radio show, according to the Tennessean. "So of course us, or whoever else, is going to take a look, just like we have with other free agents, to see what kind of shape he's in.

"A lot is going to depend for us on how we are producing at that position three weeks or two weeks from now," Munchak said. "All those things will factor into it. But I'm sure whenever you've got a player that has his capabilities, everyone's going to know exactly where he's at. If he has a way of helping our team win, then for sure you're going to take a look at him."

The Titans have been desperate for help at the receiver position since losing star playmaker Kenny Britt for the season with torn knee ligaments in Week 3.

Owens, 37, is recovering from his own knee problems. He had surgery in April to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but he recently said he expected to be ready to play soon. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel on Oct. 7 that Owens should be medically cleared to return to the NFL in two to three weeks.

Owens, who played college football at Tennessee-Chattanooga, had 983 receiving yards and nine touchdowns for the Cincinnati Bengals last season.

Gee, yet another media-created storyline with basically zero news included LOL wow.

He's not closed to being washed, with Britt done for the year wouldn't be a bad look for them.

How is it zero news? NFL.com reported that Munchak would be interested in signing Owens if he's healthy and provided proof to back it up. I don't see how this is "zero" news especially considering a month ago he stated that the Titans were NOT interested in Owens.

More "Zero" news just posted not even an hour ago:

Terrell Owens Is '100% Healthy' And Ready To Play Now, Drew Rosenhaus Says

Ever since news surfaced that free agent Terrell Owens had torn his ACL earlier this summer, he's maintained that he's working out in an effort to return to the field. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that Owens is 100 percent healthy and ready to play now.

Per Rosenhaus:

I will be contacting the teams today to inform them that is immediately available to visit and work out for them. He could play this Sunday!

id love to have him on the team

Let me explain. OK then this could be a headline:

"Owens close to returning to health."

That is news. No problem. The media-created headline insinuating a landing in Tennessee? That's zero news. If you'd like me to explain how the local media created that headline there (with Munchak basically giving zero committal to really bringing him in) I can explain that

That is your classic case of a blogger asking the coach questions in a way that can maybe look like the team would bring him in and the coach in reality merely says "well we're always interested in anyone who can help our team" (just like every other coach says).

^^ I see your point somewhat. However, it would have been more valid had Munchak never stated the Titans were not interested in Owens period. Back in September, after Britt's injury, he said the team was not interested. So to me, going from "No we don't want this guy at all regardless of health" to "If this guy is healthy, we would consider signing him" is newsworthy.

Munchak clearly is singing a different tune than he was a month ago.

^ Word man I hear you. I was not laughing at your post rather the way the writer wrote it. I'm a cynic, it's my flaw. Point taken. Media has made me that way. I expect more meat in the stories when they know their headlines create hysteria the way they run with them and the way i KNOW the ask these questions to these coaches.

hope the titans do sign him. would be a good look.

He still has some game left in him... Even after the injury. I'd like to see what he can get down with them.

Its all good. My fault for seeming like I was snapping at you. I definitely know what you mean though because the media does do a lot of what you stated and make a story out of nothing that's really newsworthy.

I'm just excited my dude might possibly see the field soon

I would like to see him with the Lions or Tampa Bay

I think he's gotta solid year or two left. He's not as good but can still do work for a team. He had a silent but good year for the Bengals.

Sign a 37 y/o locker room cancer coming off major knee surgery? See this is why some teams will never win ANYTHING

unless the texans sign him, i do not want to see him in the AFC south

That whole cancer thing has been so blown out of proportion. I would say he was most "cancerous" in Philly, even though he isnt the one who stated Mcnabb was throwing up etc. Its interesting because that poster 651whatever whos a Vikings fan swears that Owens is one of the reason Palmer couldnt stand it in Cincy when obviously thats false because he and Owens have been working out together for the past few months. Dont be surprised if Palmer also vouches for Owens to come to Oakland. So his stint in Cincy was far from cancerous as well considering the QB and him are tight. Carson's problem was with the Bengals period, had nothing to do with "Diva receivers."

I would agree, but that doesn't mean he wasn't a cancer in SF and Dallas also.
