Never mind, I didn't say anything. Same folks on the same side arguing the same thing year after year.

Again, there are 2 sides of the basketball court, guys.

Offense AND defense.

Magic wasn't a defender by any means.

And as bad as Nash is defensively, it was never the reason for his teams lack of success.

I almost want to say individual defense is over valued, but I'm sure it will be taken out of context.

EDIT: defense from the point guard position.

I don't even want to get into Magic, :lol

Dude came into the perfect situation, sort of like Duncan and Kobe.

Getting drafted by, or playing for the Lakers is basically the basketball equivalent of being born white in the suburbs w/ great facial hair genetics.

He's 17-25 in the playoffs but doesn't get slandered nearly as much as other guys like Carmelo. Funny how that works.

I wasn't aware that CP3 played tennis.

Learn something new everyday.

We must remember though winning is only a team thing. It doesn't reflect at all on the individual. Carmelo and Paul are great. It's everyone else's fault every time they don't win.

Elgin Baylor is 0-8 in the Finals, I guess he's not an all time great.

different expectations. lebron guaranteed at least 7 championships so. nobody ever said to guarantee championships.

But cavs were favs to win it all 3 seasons straight after 07

Fans/media is the reason he went to miami, he was forced to win titles in order to be one of the greatest

Nice deflection.

Dwight and Carmelo get destroyed all the time because they aren't 'winners' but we're just going to ignore CP3?

Cool double standard, bro.

By me personally or stupid media personalities that don't know anything about anything?

Because quite frankly I don't care about what they have to say and neither should you.

I don't care who the player is, you don't need to make it out of X round or win a ring to be a great player.

All-time great or not, CP takes plenty of heat for his career playoff record. You hear how "he's never been past the second round" damn near every game he plays now.

I don't give a **** if he's won a championship or not.

17-25 in the playoffs.

See the second round more than twice then get back at me.

He is. His career is over. We have the total body of work. I NEVER said CP was a bum or he won't be a top 5 PG when he retires. I'm only speaking against him being top 5 right now already today. He hasn't earned that in my eyes yet. It's a ludicrous question IMO.

I know you didn't, I was referring to the dude who's upset that CP3 doesn't get slandered as harshly as Melo and Dwight on EPSN First Take.

Even tho he sort of does get slandered, but whatever, :lol

Stockton, GP and Kidd have 2 rings between them.

Not exactly a group of winners by NT standards, especially considering GP and Kidd were both damn near 40 when they "won" one.

Oh we doing that thing where we base individual greatness of team success again? I'll see yall tonight.

Also Chris Paul is the second best PG ever and it shouldn't be an argument.

You are aware that 23-43 is worse than 17-25, correct?

So if we're using your "logic", Melo is actually the most overrated player of all time.

Again, according to you, this isn't my opinion.

Nope. I don't see people saying "Carmelo Anthony is the 2nd best SF of all time." He gets his slander and it's warranted.

The flopper escapes his slander and gets called "top 2 no argument."

Chris Paul is a perennial loser.
