I completely agree. I have no problems with him getting that money. He deserved it. The Lakers offered it to him. He couldnt really say no.
WOUld be great if lets say he had a good year (around 20 pts, 5 rebs, 5 assists) this coming season. And the Lakers look to be a 40 win type of team. He should stay on for a $5M deal. He still has some juice in him. At that salary, FA's would be more enticed to play for the Lakers. I think players look now and go man, he's making $24M. Taking up too much of the cap.

biggest thing for okc is getting better coaching..I wasn't saying he's a bad shooter... just saying they need him do exactly what you said above and occasionally step out behind the arc.
Should you guys resign Kanter or nah?
my focus with signing kanter is the number of years.. if we can get him on a 4 year deal, I'm happy.. just give adams some and move forward with him for the long haul

free agents weren't going to LA even if Kobe took the minimum. players don't need to be in LA/NY/CHI anymore to be a household name.
it's all about the product on the floor. if you have nothing resembling a playoff team (Lakers, Knicks) it's hard to convince FA's to sign, even in a huge market.

OKC doesn't need Kanter to win a title 
. They have 2 very capable centers in Adams/McGary +Ibaka plays a lot of 5 when they go small. They can use Collison, if needed. Considering they will go over the tax to re-sign him would make it worse.
