Call this corny and what not but there is no stat called clutch/killer instinct, etc and thats what Kobe has and thats what raises him above Lebron and everyone else in the NBA. Yeah, Lebron's stats are better but when it comes down to it, I dont think he has what it takes YET to be clutch. Kobe has the drive that noone else has. iTS NOT EVEN CLOSE.
And Carlos Tevez, I like your posts usually but that Odom, Gasol, Artest comment was -_-. Lebron had Mo williams, Antoine Jameson, Anthony Parker, Delonte West, Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon, Shaq. It's not like Lebron was a one man team. Kobe is the greatest player after the generation of Jordan. Lebron is an amazing player, no doubt about it but compared to Kobe as of right now, Lebron is NOT at that level.
I'm a knicks fan and not a Kobe *&&^ rider. I just call how it is.

i'm not gonna say kobe is better than lebron, as a fan i really don't care about that type of stuff anymore. as long as kobe keeps winning and the lakers keep winning, you can call lebron the greatest ever for all i care. bottom line is lebron is watching the finals, and kobe's still playing.

Without LeBron the Cavs wouldnt even make the playoffs. Without LeBron the Cavs may not still be in Cleveland. Look no further than the 2007 playoffs and what LeBron did for that team.
What too many Laker fans here fail to realize is that basketball is a TEAM game. Kobe cant do it on his own. Despite putting up 35 ppg, the Lakers were still far from being contenders because Kobe had little help. The same applies to LeBron right now. The man puts up unbelievable numbers each night but that alone isnt enough to win an NBA title. You've got to have a good supporting cast. You've got to have a coach that knows how to draw up in-bound plays. Replace Kobe with LeBron on the Lakers and they'll likely still make the finals. Replace LeBron with Kobe on the Cavs and they'd likely fail in the playoffs. Basketball is a TEAM game. Kobe making the finals on a better TEAM does not necessarily make him a better player than LeBron.

there was nothing wrong with cavs roster before the celtic series though
as far as 2007 goes, they didnt even get a W, I dont hear anyone saying anything about what AI did for his team in 2001, and they were the only team to beat LA in that postseason

You can complain about any team and point out the negative. Bottom line is Kobe is a winner and Bron is a watcher.
- Gasol is too soft, where was he today?
- Fish is too old and slow - gets torched by younger guards.
- Odom shows up 20% of the time at best and eats candy for pregame.
- Bynum is injury prone and has no elevation.
- Artest has no BB IQ and cant hit an open jumper.
(BTW I just pointed out our starting line up and our 6th man but I could go on about Luke, Sasha, Mbenga, Morrison, etc)

Like you just said, basketball is a team game and as team all those so called scrubs you talked about worked well enough to go deep in the playoffs for a couple years. Not only that they have been beating up our Lakers ever since Lebron showed up. While head to head individually they may not be as good as Artest or Gasol but as a unit(which is all that matters) they won games, period. Don't try and tell us that Cleveland is a bad team. They obviously had the best record for a reason.

mo williams, jamison, and shaq have been all stars. hell, shaq and mo were on the all star team just last year. cleveland won 60 games, they have a good team. they just choked and quit, whatever you want to call it. get over it. you don't win 60 games in back to back years having a garbage team.

Lebron has been the best player in the L the last 3 seasons. Kobe fans still gotta make threads like these to make them think Kobe is still better
. "Kobe is more skilled overall".....please.... Pau Gasol is more skilled than Dwight, but that dont make him better than Dwight. It's also funny how Kobe fans bring up that hes more skilled, but the argument turns into "Lebron has no championships". If Lebron had this laker supporting cast, Lebron wouldve won a title in 08, last year, and wouldnt have even needed 6 games to beat phoenix. I'd like to know if ANY Kobe fan would honestly start a franchise with Kobe in his prime isntead of Lebron in his prime.

Let's just remember Kobe was almost traded to Chicago after coming up short in the playoffs and finals whereas the Cavs and every other teamwill fight tooth and nail to get Lebron after he didn't make it to the conference finals. Kobe won a championship and now everyone says he is the goat. James wil get the same treatment if he wins.

This past season only and I chalk that up to all the injuries he played through. Boy avg'd 29 a game this season with a broken index finger. Bron had a sore elbow a couldnt shoot for *!%*. I'll take Pau over Dwight and Kobe in his prime over Bron. Kobe is a threat in every way - can post up, drive, fade away. Not just this past season, but the last 3 seasons. Yeah, Bron couldnt shoot with a bum elbow, but he still avg 30 a game, with the defenses focusing in on him. Kobe was injured, but ever since Gasol got there, Kobe has gotten iso's in the lower block. . So Kobe is a better scorer, but yet Lebron gets as many points and is better at other aspects of the game
kobe averaged 30 and 10 in the western conference finals. kobe hit shots over double teams in the close out game on the road, and gasol was a complete non factor. what the hell are you talking about?
