Good idea is theory. Having seniors come back would really throw off scholarship allocation numbers. I also don't know how many college athletes would want to come back for a 5th (or potentially 6th if they redshirted) just for a shot at a championship. It sucks and it's a terrible way to end your college career but I think most college athletes would rather move on

Say you’re Dayton. Never got to play a postseason game. You land on the 1 line. That’s an official recognition of the 2019-20 season and a real point of pride for the players, coaches, program and even fans.
