It's 2023. Society still operates like women need to get married and settle down at a certain age.
and that's better than being married and being unhappy just to say you're married not to have some sort of body count.
Has that "city girl" mindset helped or hurt girls?
It's pros and cons with every decision you make but from what I've seen them girls have all types of regrets and issues from their days of having "fun".
it's definitely not that the case that society is telling women they need to settle down if anything it's the opposite...any guidance to women in how they might need to move should be informed by what the individual woman's ultimate goal(s) are and whatever those goals are are likely to have tradeoffs...the 'problem' with the 'have fun' blanket prescription today is that too many women want to use their 20s, their peak attractiveness & prime child bearing years, to 'have fun' when their ultimate goals is children & family and the expect the men to be in that same type of time.
there is nothing inherently wrong with the 'do you boo' philosophy but it does not come without consequence for women particularly because their biology provides limitations that men don't have to the same degree
