He finally cleared up the Spotify deal. Basically everybody is making more now than they would’ve been under the Spotify deal. And they have all their rights.

I think he said that before or at least hinted at it. That's why people need to stop commenting on Joe's business acumen and him messing up situations like they're getting a cut. I think he said that Spotify essentially wanted a 360. So if you know anything about Joe and what he has been saying over the 5+ years. People should have expected him and wanted him to turn down that deal. He's been against them in the record industry. Now they're being used in podcasting, which is crazy if you're one who built up a name to bring to them.. That's why it's crazy when people say he fumbled the bag or he's always messing things up, because Charlamagne said it. That was five, six years ago.

A lot of people were upset and threatened to stop watching when he got rid of Marissa. Joe’s biggest competition is all the other up and coming podcasts, not keeping dead weight on set. Damn near every rapper and athlete has a podcast now, too many options to keep listening to one for a long period of time.
