The Combat Jack Show Thread

Joe doing the same contracts he used to complain about. Good, some of that was just business and not vindictive but creatives always think they deserve 100% with no consideration of the cost of anything else in between.

This is what happens when you owe your baby momma child support money

Dude can't even give two week notice.

but Ish and Ice are under Hovain for management, so they have a manager.

and Ish and Ice are probably just looking at this as a side job. I hope the next contract is more advantageous.

He meant novice/amateur, but he was conflating Ish's lack of experience in that field with what level of position Ish is holding. Obviously the co-host of a podcast isn't an entry level role.

 @ Rory never being Joe's friend. I don't see how ___s that listened to the podcast bought into that narrative.

Especially when they tried to just float Savon at one point as a mic and that didn't go well.

Entry level ain't even Alex. Entry is the dudes behind the scenes who don't even get mentioned.

and I think Rory and Joe were cool, they were never friends. Joe stayed with Mal.and they were cool away from music. When the pod started Joe had only known Rory for a year or two. Rory was a fan, that put it as a weird dynamic in the first place. They had music in common, and then the pod in common. Joe is ten years older than Rory.

Joe says I don't have many friends. He said it recently. You think one of them is some dude who works at the label he was on?

Ish and Joe debating the terms of Ish’s contract with the JBN .

Apparently, there’s a clause that Ish could get fired at will, but he can’t quit at will (he has to work for the duration of the contract) and can’t do any other podcasts (unless approved by the JBN).
He signing them to Puff deals

Nore really removed the Kanye interview smh…. Real sucker, don’t chase views then get what you looking for and backpedal out the situation.
Why take it down? It’s been clipped out and all over the internet. If anything, keep it up and let people decide for themselves.

Ish was saying you can’t get someone off the street to sit in his spot, on the couch??? These boys are nasty with the ego. Ish ain’t bringing nothing special to the table. Fools think it’s hard to talk about topics for a couple hours. It ain’t.

Joe and Rory were friends but it wasn’t like that. Joe disrespected him for years, didn’t treat him like Mal or talk about him with the same regard as his older friends.

Nore had to take it down. He was getting destroyed for allowing that dumb **** to speak on anything and the possibility of a lawsuit scared him.

I do wonder what grounds they'd have to file a lawsuit.

You can't defame a dead man in the US.

Rory was never supposed to be his friend, Mal was his friend.
Rory is like that person you meet through someone else, you don't really bangs with them for some odd reason. So even if they make a joke that's funny, you shrug it off cause you don't think their friendship is authentic and that they have ulterior motives. Then they do you a favor that you weren't expecting and then you say "maybe they aren't so bad".

I'm listening to Ish and Joe convo about the contract and Ish ain't sign it, that's why it came up cuz they've been at a stand still. Smart by him. Ish whole point is that he has a contruction company that he puts on pause 2 days a week to do the show so needs certain things in the deal.

And Joe is like "well I just had 2 _'s try to ruin me so...." Bruh got zero accountability.

“They hit him with the fentanyl”….

“When he said mama, mama was his girlfriend”

Dawg. Me and my ol’ girl keep laughing at this idiot. Dude said all this so matter of fact, smh. Fool all the way gone

Apparently this from Patreon someone find that YouTube re up

Nore wild for chasing another interview within a year with Kanye for the controversy and views then going on an apology tour like he didn't want the fanfare. Probably planned the apologies before the interview. The Kevin Hart interview really surprised me how fragile Nore is and how much he values social media attention. That was my dude though, yeah I bought Melvin Flynt.

They don’t necessarily value social media. They value the money that comes with it. We all know that’s the end goal. These dudes is opportunistic and want the money.

I’d say it has more to do with social media attention/clout than we’d like to believe. Nore seems like the guy who’s gotten the bag, but still has a desire for the attention as well. IMO, that’s evident by the little things he does like mentioning “we won the [BET] award”, and doing the press run “not because Charlamagne told me to but because I wanted to”.

Part of it is money, part of it is the attention from being in the spotlight.
