The Combat Jack Show Thread

 Joe such a troll he'll probably never address this.

He did indirectly. He talked about instead of talking about it, why don't you do something about it.

Which is what I've been saying. If you're really upset about the money, you can get a lawyer. It's been two years. Charge it to the game, get a lawyer or shut up.

I don't think this is about money, it's about Mal's feelings being hurt. Because originally Rory was the one upset and wanting to see the books, Mal was upset about Joe suspending Rory and wanting to record without him.

This all stemmed from a side comment at the end of the Cyhi interview. Joe was the one who made it deep lol

If Rory wanted to see the books then and Mal does now and Joe dodges it both times I think that speaks for itself without even going into him doing similar semantics/games in a completely different situation with Ish now (entry level; I can fire you whenever but you can’t quit whenever, etc.)

Have you even been following or are you doing your normal argumentative thing just for the hell of it?

Joe said he showed him the books, but Rory wasn't happy with what he showed him. Rory expected the actual books or something, which is weird, because they have computers now, so of course he's going to get a print out or as Rory said an Excel document. I'm wondering if Rory was expecting some old books like you see in some 1980's movie. In the last episode Joe even said he showed Rory twice. That's one reason Joe made the comment on the side about taxes. So if he shows you the books you want, and you aren't happy, get a lawyer.

That's they the whole thing was I'm done trying to teach. Because it's different now for Rory and Mal also when they were on Spotify. They are/were getting a salary where you're going to get the same thing every week. The difference now is he has Ish and Ice as employees, so there's no confusion.

That's why I've been saying all along that they both should have gotten a lawyer or shut up.

Joe is right though. You’re not suppose to just open up your books upon request. Then he showed them anyway and Rory wasn’t happy.

The disconnect here is Mal thought they were partners. Joe saw them as employees.

Joe made the same comparison and example back during the fallout. He could never ask Def Jam or w/e other label he was on to let him see their financials for his album rollout, album production, etc.

That’s why Joe ain’t playing that game (on top of the possibility he probably did rob them  )

If them dudes really feel a way they should just sue. They’ll find out.

They want to be petty and then too cool for school at the same time though. Rather say they’ll walk away from money and just make more elsewhere and not go forward with actually suing Joe.

I mean unless they getting one of those pro bono lawyers folks said the Floyd’s were getting for Ye, I’d imagine they’ve done the math and consider it not to be worth it to pursue

All I know is that rather than going back and forth like this why not just show them whatever they’re asking for whether it’s taxes or your entire financial records for whatever time period which should be more than excel worksheets  All Joe is saying in his most recent response is to the effect of “no because my feelings were hurt”

When you take into account how we see Joe deals with the trolling/word games with his chicks over the years , the Slaughterhouse ****, or Mal confidently mentioning **** like Amalgam Records…then you see in real time him doing the same thing to Ish and literally walking out when the whole room tells him he’s wrong  there’s one common denominator of things getting funky business wise when one dude is involved. Entertaining and talented dude but his past somewhat speaks for itself

First it ain’t like they gonna understand any paperwork anyway but they talk like they have no idea how much money it is.

So what math could they do?

If they’re right, you sue for what you were owed, sue for damages, sue for what they would’ve made given how things ended, sue for defamation.

Get the right lawyer and they’re not gonna be stressed about how much they’re paying for that.

I’m saying if it costs even into the $100k’s to get a lawyer and you know you probably aren’t getting M’s back. Is it really worth it? Also now that I’m thinking about it, it probably boils down for both sides into how can you even quantify that type of thing? Mal and Rory seemed like just on screen talents (and being fair they did add to a dynamic that Joe still hasn’t recaptured) but how do you quantify how much of Spotify/YouTube/etc./whatever money is owed to them for being “co-hosts” vs. Joe feeling like he does a lot of behind the scenes **** they don’t…

Situation all tangled up but again, one side’s request and narrative has stayed the same for two years and one side has jumped from dudes stealing laundry detergent to being Roc A Fella groupies their whole life to never paying rent…without even going into the other transgressions that we’ve seen play out non favorably for dude in public lol

You can always sue for more. It’s not just get what was stolen. Throw in some pain and suffering.

As far as I see it Joe has remained consistent. His reply has never changed.

The reason Rory and Mal have the same request is cuz they know it’s one they will not get. Not to their satisfaction at least.

As far as quantifying it they had a deal in place. So it’s not even about that. What they’ve been alluding to is that what they’ve been owed has been hidden or used for something else and they can’t prove that without seeing all of the financials

If it's not worth it, you shouldn't be mentioning it then.

You leveled up anyway.

And dissing Joe's character makes Mal look bad, because he wasn't just a co-worker or associate. He was his friend who had stayed with him for years. It's like when girls diss their ex. You picked him and had been with him for years.

Joe is wild about his Madonna takes. Especially defending someone who doesn't write her raps.

In the 80's it was Mike, Madonna, Prince, Janet and Whitney

The moving of the goal post is crazy. If it sells, it's because of the label....but Cardi?

It wasn't even a diss, it was old *** Madonna patting herself on the back.

Chelsea Handler
