Rap is still about the music and entertainment… crimes are apart of everyday life. It just so happens that they crosshatch sometimes. Crimes happen with or without rap music.

Ironic you say this when the war on chiraq **** falls into why ****** was just mad at Akademiks a page ago crime always gone exist and existed since ****** was listening to Al green and rap music ain’t the root cause etc etc etc but what the culture prioritizes doesn’t exactly have zero effect on what goes on in it outside of the music

I never go on anything like the shade room but again, gossip culture is big business so it’s not going anywhere. Like I’ve said, if you’re (us as a culture not anyone in particular) going to participate in this new social media realm, you can’t be half way in and half way out. It’s just like the streets. People want to participate in all the social media banter and content, then get upset at it when something doesn’t appease them. You can’t have it both ways. That’s like me watching football and getting mad because someone got hit to hard. It’s all in the game.

The last part is what I mean, he’s criticizing labels or media personalities for capitalizing off hip hop, positively or negatively, but he’s doing the exact same thing. You can’t have it both ways.

This isn't true.

He was speaking for himself and his dumb friends only. Just like the beef was between BIG and Pac and Puff and Suge specifically.

Suge used to come to New York if he had a problem. It was with specific people.

And I think some of you don't understand how time was different. All of this happen in a matter of months. There was no social media to go back and forth instantly. And nobody knew both would be dead in less than a year. There was no blueprint to beef between rappers.

You never had two people who didn't like each other and you were cool with both? Would you start whining how they were a traitor and betraying you?

I used to get suggested dude at the bottoms joint all the time a couple of years ago when he was first starting out and I would watch him here and there.

Not really for me. I listen for entertainment, not to be told common sense stuff I already know. I respect what they're doing though. Younger people probably need to listen.

It’s few and far in between but probably 20% discuss the music, 80% discuss the drama/gossip

I’m saying y’all complaining about Ak not even a page ago; yet Grimey up there doing everything he can to discredit or find a contradiction in someone I proposed as an Ak alternative who this whole year been pushing that we don’t post negative news for a whole month just to see what happens and ironically on some random **** in real time we get an example to see the ******** these pages are on under the guise of “journalism”.

The funny parts is people over look other outlets who's main source of content is talking about 80s and 90s beef/gossip and street #$^&

Before podcasts it was the blogs before that it was magazines and tv/talk shows. It's all different versions of the same thing

If we're being honest it's virtually impossible constantly create hours of content and keep people's attention...while sticking strictly to music. It's the same with sports.
