The Combat Jack Show Thread

I dunno. When he says it, I'm just thinking so what *****? Seems like he lost his chance to talk his **** stepping away from rap whenever he did but it's not like he was a great rapper anyway. I know I don't give a **** about MTV Cribs. So all that's left is the producer claims.

Jermaine another one that never really locked in with a great rapper. He had some songs with Jay, hit songs with other rappers but when I think of him it's mainly Da Brat and Bow Wow. I don't see the value in bringing in kid acts to hip hop when none of them really had longevity or great music.

Running his own label at 21

Helped bring youth into hip hop

Worked on classics

Produces and writes

What more does he have to do?

He has little man syndrome.

He tried to start the beef with Dre for some reason.

and the $10,000

Maybe he should have been at Magic less 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't say he helped bring youth, because it was dudes like LL doing music at 16

Plus this was out

For what though? To get praise? Ppl already been giving JD his flowers.

He's talking as I'm that ***** and separate me from these other greats and ehh nah you not getting that. Especially from what you just listed. Who wasn't running a label at a young age? Keep saying bringing youth into hip hop like that was some great thing. All the other greats worked on classics, produced and wrote.

He's talking like he needs to be singled out and praised as the only one to do those things. Like I said he should've just talked his **** when he had the chance or locked in with a dope rapper that would've done it for him.

Snoop takes up for Dre any chance he gets. Won't let his name be tarnished.

Puff got endless dope rappers writing his verses.

Swizz does his own rapping and honestly ain't even trying to place his name that high on the list.

Timbo already had his run with Jay. Pivoted to mainstream music for a bit

and he's also annoying how he always brings up New York, when Atlanta doesn't even look at him like they do like Dre, Jeezy, TI and The Dungeon Family. He doesn't bring that up, because he doesn't want that backlash.

He had hits, ok...

Did Mariah and Janet do their best work under him? He's so great though.

Nobody is doubting his talent and skill, but give me a break with the constant whining and him putting down others to leave his booster seat.

JD is great and being able to write and produce by yourself is a great talent but he's not Dre or Tim. Dre and Tim changed music twice. JD choose to do kid hip hop. His classics are on the r&b side.

JD has been on this crusade for 10-15 years, and he's really obsessed with Dre.

I remember JD said that he was doing Funk before Dr Dre. Like he wanted an award for it. He doesn't have the Chronic. Totally Krossed Out isn't Doggystyle. Bow Wow and Brat aren't Snoop. EPMD and X-Clain were doing it before Dre too, it doesn't matter. JD didn't bring funk samples to hip hop, so why does it matter if he did it before Dre? Like he wants credit for G-Funk. Cold187 isn't doing that.

I understand him saying him and Puff aren't the same, but this whole competition with other producers is misplaced. He should have been working on finding his Snoop instead.

I think he’s even MORE upset that he’s moreso tied to child acts like

Kriss Kross and Bow Wow, and of course one of the best female rappers in Brat.

The fact that he isn’t linked to a superstar or notable male rapper or rapper(s), has caught up with him.

When a person thinks of JD in terms of hip hop (not R&B, strictly hip hop) they think of Kriss Kross, Bow Wow and Brat

JD started this in 2002 :lol cuz they came back and dissed on him on Eminem Show.

And JD and Dre are basically the same era. You never had a Chronic or 2001 or a Up In Smoke tour. JD never had the game stop the way Dre did.

This is like TMac saying he coulda won rings with Shaq. Bruh we saw y'all at the same time. :lol

Yup, he did it to himself. Wasted the 2000s on Bow Wow for rap. 2010s is more R&B and a damn rap reality show.

Could've got any (actually talented/dope) rapper or rap duo or even rap group from any region to go on a dope hip hop run. YoungBloodz and Dem Franchise Boyz wasn't it. Maybe he should've locked in with Daz. Instead he was doing R&B and made Hate in Ya Blood.

His biggest/most notable rap song is with Jay-Z most likely (or Ludacris). No album with Jay. None with Luda. Majority of his production is with R&B acts.

Ish got angry so quick and thinks saying I wasn't a part of anything means he ain't liable :rollin
