The days of pods getting big deals are over and I just thought streaming would completely take over.

Turns out just seems like the growth of new pods have slowed and streaming is for younger people

Pods are what they are at this point. I'm not sure about the future growth in it.

For some reason they thought people like Meagan Markle and Michelle Obama would bring new people into listening to podcasting. I think it's just podcast people.

I started listening to podcast because I had a commute and traffic and wanted something besides music and I had already moved away from radio.

I think the visual thing is another effort to get growth in it beyond YouTube.

Seems like Netflix is trying to be one big entertainment hub. I wonder if they would move to hosting music videos.

At this point, anything video being on the platform would make sense for Netflix. I won’t be surprised if they turned it into a YouTube like app with the option for music videos, streaming etc.

I'm like Low, that doesn't sound like 50/50. Because they're telling you, you need to work more to be profitable for us and they can get rid of staff and host. Sounds like Gil might get 50% of the profits, but the decisions are theirs.

It's funny coming from them, because it's also classism and intellectual tiers that look down on Tiffany and Angela. I didn't know Tiffany didn't have a degree until she lost her show. I always just assumed and I know of other things about Angela.

and the uppity **** turns people off., so you're talking in a room with each other.

I forgot that Angela is also friends is Charlamagne, so it's a lot of hypocrisy coming from her, but kid can help her get a check so it's ok.

but it's a big problem with how information is disseminated now and reducing people and events to 30 second clips.

… well said, and those type of folks are also contributing to the “dumbing down of America” and don’t even realize it.
