I believe Mona was set to join the pod prior to Mel's departure. I actually think those 2 would have worked well off of each other. Shame we didnt get a chance to see it.
I think the other chick, Sasha, was a we lost the eye candy in Mel so let's bring in someone else to be that replacement. She brings nothing other than that, imo.
Mona's clearly really good at being an A mic...adding to convos. Providing an opinion...giving it up on all topics. She fits in that sense.
She needs to learn how not to always try and be the A mic though. She dominates a lot of talking points. She's gotta let stuff breath.
She reminds me so much of flip, but just smarter. Much much smarter.
I think, big picture, she helps Joe move to a less visible presence at his network. I truly believe he's trying to build up personalities so he can look into more show opportunities for those personalities (Improper Improv, Pod Wives, Marc and Ian show). Long game being having enough content to sell to a Samsung TV or Tubi or whatever.
Mona could definitely carry a show.
