we, humans, are if nothing else rationalizing creatures, not necessarily rational creatures…so often times we can/do convince ourselves that the obvious does not/will not apply in our own case, and imagine being someone that has already beaten/overcome odds that most don’t, the confidence that tends to come with that may contribute to that thinking

this is probably a perspective that could be fodder for the unpopular opinion thread but i think a lot of folk, probably even the majority considering close to half of just marriages-not factoring all romantic relationships-end in divorce , are in a toss up situation in terms of discerning who will be a good match for relationship…then consider that people aren’t static & often change…often what kept folk together in the past are less applicable these times

i’m never saying all but everything can be framed as a majority/minority argument…and in 2025 most women do not see a problem with being in a relationship & going out (of town) w/the friends & hitting nightlife spots to be on the scene, for some it may only be a rare occasion & some it may be more frequent but anecdotally i’ve found a lot of women don’t think being out with their friends in the explicit sexual marketplace should be a point of conflict

athletes/celebrities notoriously have strained relationships despite many being above average earners, at least while they are active, so it not that surprising that those relationships are put out as entertainment…them man have all manner of stuff going on behind the from the stories i’ve heard

as much of a goof as arenas is, if man are looking at the choices athletes tend to make w/the women they involve themselves with/wife…i’d think he isn’t much of an outlier . if athletes haven’t really settled in with a main girl from high school/college the women that are going to me more amenable to their schedule, where they tend to frequent, and willing to be available are going to be a certain type more than likely, granted it is ultimately on them & they can certainly make other/better choices…

Facts. Did it to yourself. Sort of similar to what happened to PJ Washington after he got Bundle of Brittney knocked up. Shorty was literally out there making videos talking about her body count, and saying how athletes are the easiest dudes to manipulate… and dude goes and has a kid with her. Difference is PJ (from what I remember) got low and didn’t take to the internet; just took his L in stride and kept it moving. Can’t make excuses for everyone.

No one is DISAGREEING with Dejounte wanting to be locked down in his 20s. The thing is… he tried to tie down a PITBULL with a shoestring.

Plenty professional women who want to be tied down. Women who dress modestly. Workout, eat good, have good hygiene, don’t run the streets, etc.

Again, I could walk into my local Target, Whole Foods, etc and find a wholesome looking woman.
