I haven't watched it yet, but seen the clips floating around and read the captions.
Im fully convinced Ice's girl checked him about that "Ice be watching, ice is controlling, how many steps" stuff the pod be getting off and he was mandated to fix it, or else.

Im probably caping but it seems different cuz joe get it off on a "this what WE do, freeze" whereas flip just be trying to clown about it.
Again, ain't watched it, but if he did get super sensitive about it, that's kinda wack. But if all he did was come at flip neck, I ain't mad lol.

The clips are all there. Any time that joke is started it’s by Joe. Flip adds on like he always does and so does Marc. E, Ish, and Parks add one liners and laugh.

This prolly true but when they get on Flip and his family he pulls the 'are you crazy?' or something and they back off
Yet got all the energy in the world to talk other ppl if he feels it's funny. Good on Joe cuz that argument was going nowhere

I’ve seen this a lot and I can’t believe so many ppl don’t know that’s a joke.
Every time Flip pulls the you talking about my family it’s not serious. They start laughing and Flip plays like he’s making them clean up the joke. Cuz in fact they’re not talking about his family, nobody has jokes about his family. It’s about how he’s never around his family and Flips twists it to use them as a shield.
Flip is COE and is always down even when he got no clue what’s coming next. Ice pulled the same lame **** and Flip said go ahead and say what you gonna say and Ice shuts up. Then he tried to make Ice clear **** up and he wouldn’t even admit why he keeps coming at Flip.
The don’t talk about my family **** is a joke ppl seemed to have believed and think Flip is being a hypocrite about when that isn’t the case.
This simply comes down to Ice tired of jokes that even Flip can crack on him and missing piece probably told him to put his foot down. Ice gets silent later that same day when Joe continues to make the same jokes.

Flip and his wife were definitely going through something at a point and it was alluded to a couple of times.
and I definitely don't think Flip's COE doesn't include his family.

The point is the jokes are never actually about his family. It is about him. Either not being home or doing interviews with strippers and porn stars. When jokes like that are made in various ways he flips it to YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT MY FAMILY!?!!
That’s the joke. He’s not shutting down jokes about his family. He’s shutting down jokes about himself. Anytime he says that Joe calmly explains no I’m not talking about your family, I’m talking about you not being with yours.
Nobody on the pod has actually made direct jokes about his wife or children. The furthest that goes is JR record this type jokes.

Idk I feel like he tries to blurr the line between it being a joke and something you not gon gain ground on. He gonna keep repeating the 'you shootin?' in between responses so there's no point in keeping on.

It ain’t just that topic. I remember when Ish called him out after getting tired of feeling belittled and Flip played that off like Ish was being performative. Did the same to Marc with the sucka tricky words argument. He always blurs **** when it’s his turn and like you said repeats something to shut it down before it gains steam.
Only one he don’t push back on is chicken nuggies cuz he don’t care if ppl think he’s stupid.
Flip is for jokes and thinks nobody should take any of it serious. Once they do, even if they explain why he just takes note of it and proceeds to violate them again later.
