Lake Sørvágsvatn looks like a rocky outcrop overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. An unbelievable landscape that will make you think it’s made up.

Actually, there is a bit of optical illusion at work here. The lake is actually higher than the ocean, but not by hundreds of meters as it would seem in some pictures.

Lake Sørvágsvatn is about 30 meters above the sea level and the cliff facing the camera is more than 100 meters high, but the angle of the photo will make you think they are at the same level."
