****The Everything LaVar Ball Thread****

Lavar need to embrace the hate

Add campaign

Jordans dont
Curries dont
Lebrons dont

Step on the court with Balls

Swang em

Also this could reintroduce the superior swingman jersey

I'm rooting for Lavar to win, he's been nothing but pure entertainment if you don't take him too seriously. But I think why people have such a problem with this is, they don't teach people to be entrepreneurs in school anymore, everything is risk adverse. I'm not saying he's gonna change the game but he could spark the mind that does. How many more retros do you want to see it's 2017 !

To be honest, there are plenty of non retro product out there. People just don't look.

there's no reason why its 5 bills...

what's da cushioning system?

where's da tech?

outer materials luxury?

there's no gimmick other than da price of exclusivity to sell da product.

Can't be surprised at the shoe price since homie has an all leather hat listed on his site for $100

His pricing just seems random as hell. Shirts and hats are the same price $50. Beanies are $38-40. Sweatshirts & hoodies are $60-80. The one pair of bball shorts he has listed are $40.

I know I'm keen for a new shoe brand to rise up...I looked at APL after hearing about them being banned from the NBA for basically doing for real what Nike wanted people to think Shox did, and they have a couple of designs I'd definitely strap up.

point is, it's as simple as a decent aesthetic and a reasonable price point and I'll give you a shot. I assume i'm not the only one, and the company eventually that does it right is going to rattle the whole arrangement.
he's trying to sell you a $495 mixtape out the trunk of his car
it is tough to dance around that perception of this, as executed. surely you could have found a few (hundred) thousand dollars to produce samples in a couple of full size runs for promotional shoots, to wear on interviews, to give out to fans at special events, to performance test on YouTube...but then, wtf do I know, I'm just some guy right now.

the more I track this the more I feel like the right people are getting the right ideas from it at the wrong person's expense.

So he made a revenue of $150,000 the first day...and probably by estimating the potential cost of manufacturing and taxes, it will probably come down to 50,000 to 70,000.

Not too bad for a start up, but you know Lavar wanted at least a thousand sales in the first day :lol

Facts on both points.

I think a thousand pairs and up is a win the shoes are 495 plus they have a 995 Version

It's fine but considering how much free marketing he had and headlines for days, you'd want more than just 300. Those were the early adopters. Now you have to put the rest into lonzos hands and hope he is a star with enough swagger to make people wanna wear his shoes. This is a long term game. These initial sales don't mean that much. Essentially your still at a net loss when you factor in the possibly contract Lonzo could've gotten at a Nike or adidas. Your gonna have to sell more product that that contract before you can consider this a "win"
