MTV's Mixtape Monday is reporting that Saigon's debut album "The Greatest Story Never Told" has been pushed back until 2008. An exact date hasn't been announced.

"It's nothing to wait another month or month and a half. ... I'd rather wait for the new year than get caught up in that fourth-quarter congestion" Saigon tells MTV's Mixtape Monday. The album was originally scheduled for release December 4.

Saigon recently released the video for his first single "Come On Baby" and also dropped a remix of the song featuring Jay-Z.

In order to tide fans over until 2008, Saigon recently released a street album called "The Moral of the Story" featuring such songs as "Come On Baby" (Remix) feat. Jay-Z, "Who Can Get Busy" and "What A Life."

damn shame.

Actually that might be a good move. He needs a little more momentum and the 4th quarter definitely is crowded.

Word.....They may be hoping that 'Come on Baby' picks up at the end of the year and will drop Sai in EARLY 2008.....But at the end of the day....

The music business is F'D up...

OK, I'm seriously becoming fed up with this ##+%. How many more times is he going to push it back?

Does anyone think pushing it back will actually make any difference in sales compared to releasing it on December 4th?

not suprised because it seems like this album is destined to be pushed back forever. hopefully it'll drop early '08

The Moral of the Story drops tomorrow.... so atleast we're gonna get some new material from him.

Like someone else said, he probably wasn't gon be looking at huge numbers anyway.
The people that want the album will go out and get it. It's ready, why sit on it?
