When you guys say flip-flops you mean thong sandals right? The Nike or Adidas joints don't count.

I'm done with Tannehill. I'll never give up on my team though, I trust Gase will draft a franchise QB in 2017.

If you think a rookie QB fixes a single thing on this roster, you're in for a long ride.

We drafted a QB and have built WHAT in five years?

OLine?
Run game?
DLine?
LB core?
Secondary?

We have 2-3 pretty good receivers. Suh and Reshad Jones. (And Tunsil)

In FIVE years.

We had Lamar Miller, our best player, let him go.
Had Olivier Vernon, let him go.
Had Charles Clay, let him go.
Marshall, Vontae Davis, traded.

JuWuan James. Jonathan Martin. Michael Egnew. Dion Jordan. Dallas Thomas. Jamar Taylor.

Build around your Quarterback, this isn't.

But a rookie gonna fix this? So he can be destroyed and blamed same as Ryan?

Okie dokey.

We have 50+ issues on this team, people wanna start with one of the actual decent players.

It's like tryin to rebuild the Chargers starting with Rivers. Or re-do the Bucs starting with Winston. They ain't the issue, they just play the sex position.

I shouldn't say sex and Rivers in the same sentence, prolly just got his wife pregnant.

CP I wanna agree with you, I have for years now, but he's just not it man. He's not the only issue, but he's an issue.

Have you non New Yorkers even seen chicks wear Timbs?
When i was still in college last year I knew these two Asian girls that would wear them to class matching and all
I trolled one of them by saying "this is Cali, stop jackin the NYers"
She got heated :rollin

Perfectly fair. He's an issue. But not where we should start building. Fix the other 50 problems, then you can worry about QB. Starting at QB just gonna create another guy getting crushed and blamed every game.

We benched our expensive CB to play a 5th Rd CB against AJ Green. I'd look there.
I'm SHOCKED that Foster, Cameron, Albert, Jenkins, and Pouncey are all hurt. SHOCKED. I'd look there.
I don't even know what has happened to JuWaun James, I'd look there.
Our Linebackers. I'd look there.
Our Linebackers, I'd look again.
Our secondary outside of Reshad, take a gander.
DLine gettin much pressure this year? I'd glance.
RB by committee instead of Lamar Miller. That's worth a look.
TE position?

We have a ton of problems. Fixing the QB fixes none of the rest. Just gets another player to blame for every other problem.

Theres the concept of a talented quarterback can lift his teammates play up...The thinking is top 12 quarterback play can cover roster weaknesses and give you a chance to be good.

You can trot out an average quarterback but you likely need a super talented roster.

Like the thinking is it should easier to find or develop a top 12 quarterback than it is to build a super talented roster, thats why fans would rather take a chance on quarterback talent.

Typically teams will begin a build up by getting a franchise QB, though. Then everything comes after that.

Could the Dolphins make a more immediately impactful, single decision when the draft comes around than drafting the QB of the future?

Agreed.

And yes, plenty of QB talent coming in the next draft

So, like how we've built around Ryan, like that?

Or hey, like how the Colts have built around Luck??????

Run game, nope.
OLine, nope.
DLine, nope.
LBers? Nope.
Secondary, nope.

But hey, 2-3 good WR's, in 5 years building around a franchise #1 pick QB.

Meanwhile, Trevor Simien is undefeated.

Hey put some respeck on Trevor Elway

CP, let's be real man.

Luck passes the eye test. Luck has made it deep in the playoffs.

Ryan hasn't done either.

@CP1708

sorry man.. just got home from my buddy's who is a huge dolphins fan.. this might have been that final thing that was too much for him.. obviously, I've seen him put up with a lot.. but like he didn't see any hope from this.. like it was too sad to even be remotely funny or enjoyable

figured it would be funny to bring up that whole draft thing again in WIR.. but man, had i any clue this shhh was coming.. i would have looked for my laughs elsewhere

Luck doesn't pass the eye test on NT, neither does Aaron Rodgers. Joe would be a lesser Bernie Kosar if he played today on this board. :lol

But yes, I know there is a difference between Luck and Tanne, thank you.

and building team wise.. you always start at the lines and work out.. QB you address when you can.. but strong lines will take you far on a lot of fronts

Which draft? All of ours, or last year or which one?

Me, personally, I'm one of the lesser sad Dolphin fans. I'm a Cubs fan, I know waiting. Someday, probably a long time from now, Miami will get its Theo. So I don't sweat Miami really. Canes have won, Lakers have won, Cubs are relevant for the first time in my life, I can have patience with the Phins.

The Aaron Rodgers thing is a gag. Anyone who doesn't believe Luck is a good QB is an idiot.

Our guy just isn't that good CP, can you just admit that we need to address it?

nah.. was talking about the eagles/WIR stuff

but when my friend started talking about things tannehill was doing wrong (staring down WRs, not moving his feet in the pocket and hardly moving at all in the pocket).. i knew things had to be bad.. cause if he was picking up on that stuff i knew the defense was reading that shhhh easily and then the pick came

Back in 2000-01, that's where the failure began.

Jimmy gave us an entire defensive core. Jason Taylor, Zack Thomas, Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, Tim Bowens, Daryl Gardener, Trace At matting, Brock Marion, it was perfect. Then Want wasted 4 first round picks in 5 years and we never recovered.

Ricky retires, they use the #2 pick on a RB, then Ricky comes back. :lol :{

Could have literally drafted Aaron Rodgers at 2, and Frank Gore in Rd 2. Gore was even out of our own backyard.

Yeah I don't see it like that. The Heat won three years ago, that doesn't excuse a decade of mediocrity by the Dolphins. **** even the Marlins have won two titles since the Dolphins made any noise.

The Dolphins have tried to improving their team since 2012, they turned over nearly the whole roster except Tannehill, Pouncey, Wake and Jones.

They have used high draft picks on offensive personnel ,made trades and signed big name free agents to surround Tannehill.

Fired coaches etc etc.
