Drafted and let walk, Miller, Clay, Matthews, Vernon, Smith, Odrick. For nothing. Literally, nothing.
Traded Marshall and Vontae because of Philbin.
Traded up for Dion Jordan.
Today? 7+ starters out. Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner protecting the blindside (take a guess how it worked out)
ZERO defense. Suh and Jones are the only two worth anything.
Players that are good, Suh, Jones, Landry, Darr (the punter) and Wake. (And they limit his snaps)
Players that are decent, Tannehill, DVP, Pouncey, Tunsil.
They have some young guys, they'll develop, then leave as FA's (see the list of guys we've let walk, and I didn't include Hartline, Gillislee, Nolan Carroll etc.)
Add that all up, you have 5-6 solid starters, couple young guys, and a bunch of junk.
And someday soon, the QB and coaches will take the fall, but not the dumb *** owner or GM that fails in the draft and in Free Agency.
They'll get one or two nice players, and let one or two walk, rinse, repeat.
