been dead for like over a decade. nfl became a pass happy league and most run single back formations.. teams  would rather have an extra te or run two tight end sets or an extra wideout .

miss the days of the mike alsott type fullback.

It was a matter of time after that incident with his fiancée now this a 70 yr old cmon fam you asking for it

Are the Titans using a FB this season?
nothing surprises me about mike malarkey..

titans have MM and decide that's the guy they're going keep around.. kinda like the rams with fisher and paying tavon all that money

the Patriots use one and he's actually pretty useful despite the fact that we're a pass heavy offense

if i ran/owned an NFL team with a young squad and a young QB I would go hard after tom herman

and then stack his coordinators

I wonder how many people will burn his jersey........

Sit to gain experience, eh?

Yep, like a bunch of Philly fans were calling for before the Bradford trade.

It's an oxymoron. You don't gain experience if you're riding pine. Maybe an understanding, but not experience. Need to be on the field for that...on Sunday's.

I knew what you meant...just being particular.

like anything else in life.. baby steps.. pick the spots when you choose to give the guy that experience.. and try to minimize the potential fallout

doctors have to do residency.. attorneys in a ton of places have to do a pupilage after being called to the bar before they can be heard before a judge solo.. hell you gotta get your permit before you get your driver's license (some places require you take classes and the instructor then signs off)

but it all depends on the individual and the circumstances, again

People are conflating experience with development. You can develop as an inexperienced NFL QB on the bench.

What'd I miss in here? Besides I'm sure a very interesting take on the Bradford trade.
