If he's the normal Fitzpatrick then the jets are no closer to having a future QB than when they had Sanchize. If he actually plays well, the jets are in the same boat next year.

This is all around stupidity. Either stick with the young guy you drafted and never gave a shot or start tanking for Deshaun Watson.
Is this a Super Bowl winning roster? Is it even a playoff roster? Legit question

No lie, I feel bad for Geno in this spot. His starting days for this team are likely over, sans a Fitz injury. And I think in 2017 they are going to try and ease Hackenberg into the fold. Petty may be an odd man out as well, unless he has a great camp.

With that said, Fitz back is best for this current team. $12M with incentives for the year, does Fitz win or the Jets? I could have sworn he wanted $12M annually in a multi-year, but now I'm remember it was somewhere around $15-18 b/c of what Brock got in Houston.
