"_____ fan here. I just want to say that I feel for _____ and fans of the ______. Hope it all turns out well and everything gets back to form."

Response: "Oh, _____ fan. Thanks for the classy reply and I wish you the same. We all want to see this rivalry play out on the court/field/rink."

There is some variation of that exchange in every comments section every time a player gets injured. It's like clockwork. :lol :{

Not saying it ain't ever genuine, but IDK...it feels like people are just looking to pat themselves on the back.

Lol so cynical
No one really wished someone to get seriously injured like that
Unless they are an a-hole or a hater

What're you :{ 'ing for?

Sure we have our rivals, teams and players we don't like, but if you don't feel for a player who has a absolutely brutal injury then there is something wrong with you.

Seen a couple people say Teddy's injury is like Marcus Lattimore's :x

Hope that's false

I'm still in disbelief that this was non-contact. There had to be some issues there..Had to...

How was a non-contact injury like Lattimore's? :x

Only thing I can think of is, was he spinning? Cuz planting and cutting alone shouldn't do what happened to Marcus.

Apparently when you dislocate your knee you also tear your ACL, MCL, & PCL. :x

Whoosh. Right over both of y'all heads. Context matters.

My post is a continuation of the topic of people feeling the need to point out they root for so and so before they give their condolences. Often seen in an article's comments section.

Completely separate from anything written in this thread.

651akathepaul 651akathepaul I think so too. I'm thinking weaker structure than usual or maybe trying to overcompensate for some other minor injury? Who knows. I'm no expert, but I had the same thought.

He tore some of them, it comes down to which ones and how severe

Looks like it's a dislocated knee & a torn ACL

edit:

“Teddy Bridgewater suffered a non-contact injury today at practice,” Vikings head trainer Eric Sugarman said in a statement. “The injury was quickly identified as a dislocated knee. The injury was stabilized, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. After undergoing an MRI, it was determined that Teddy suffered a complete tear to his ACL and other structural damage. Fortunately, there appears to be no nerve or arterial damage. Surgical repair will be scheduled within the next few days. Although the recovery time will be significant, we expect Teddy to make a full recovery. I would like to thank all of the medical professionals and our athletic training staff for all of their help today. Teddy has already displayed the attitude needed to overcome this injury and attack his rehab.”

I can definitely see the Vikes calling about Kaepernick. Not sure if Zimm will put up with the flag controversy though...
