I just found out not too long ago that im the only person that doesnt have one. My buddy keeps telling me to get one and i'm the only one he knows that doesn't have it. I wasn't aware everybody i knew had one but me lol. I missed that ship somewhere down the line and i'm too lazy to start a new social media from scratch and build a whole other network when i already got enough social media in my life. I already use 3 and im drawing the line there.
it's pretty easy.. I really don't actually do much on it myself.. i'll post pics of my dog every once and while.. I also follow a ton of dog stuff

but I scroll through and browse when I messing around on my phone.. just like with twitter

it's kinda like twitter for me, where I'm not that active.. but I mess around on there.. I don't really post much of anything on facebook either and got most of my settings set to private and needing approval before you can do anything related to me
Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat for me.

Twitter because you get news the second it breaks, whether it's accurate or not is another thing

Instagram for the visuals.

Snapchat for behind the scenes looks for my favorite teams. Pre-game, locker room stuff, etc.
I don't have it in me to start snapchat.. I think that's a ship that has sailed for me

^ yea.. haven't been the dog thread much since our American bulldog passed.. didn't really realize how much it would hurt.. and reading some of the stories brings back too many memories

So many people refuse to respond to what Kaepernick said, they instead want to tear him down as the messenger. Embarrassing way to avoid the real issue at hand.

Yep.

I've seen so much stuff the last few days, I don't even know what's what anymore. It's just American's arguing and fussing over a laundry list of issues, some connected, some not, some racist, some....probably still racist. I'm not smart enough to decipher who's who anymore.

But I've seen excellent points made (Twitter, FB, here on NT, TV, radio, etc)

White people want black people to protest peacefully. Colin protests peacefully. White people: No, not like that.

America isn't keeping up it's end of the bargain. Throw this man out the country.
Make America great again (inferring it's not great already) Vote this man for president.

Black lives matter. White folk counter, ALL lives matter. Ok, please show me Asians getting killed in the streets by cops. Show me Hispanics being gunned down. Show me whites being gunned down. That's what I thought.

Drew Brees got pretty destroyed by none other than Martin Luther King Jr. Basically word for word, the "White moderate" Saying just enough to say nothing at all. Truly on point.

Me myself, I wouldn't mess around with sitting during the Anthem. Thas me. But I ain't mad at Colin for doin it. Doesn't hurt me, or my family, or my neighbors, or anybody really. Peaceful as you can get. But people up in arms.

Kill a gorilla, white people pissed. Kill an unarmed black teenager, well, he shouldn't have been a thug.......... :{

Layers and layers of broken people. Hate to disagree with Russ and his wisdom, but love ain't gonna fix it. Guns ain't gonna fix it. Laws likely won't even fix it. People have to fix it. Sadly, money might have to fix it. (when you start hurting right white folks pockets, change will soon follow)

I don't know if America will ever get it right. We're better than most countries, that I have no doubt about. But there is something lurking in the shadows that I didn't know was there until social media came about. Now I'm just sad. I used to believe racism was dying by the day. What a fool I was. |I

Alright, this Kaep **** needs to be in another thread for real. Friendly conversation about AWG, movies, TV and beer is one thing...this has turned into any black poster in here that thinks Kaep is 100% right about the way he went about what he did is right and anybody else (including other black people) that has a different opinion about what he did is wrong, "hiding behind their words", if they're black they don't care about helping black people, and/or is a racist. Something needs to be done about this for real.
By the way, I think we really do need to move all Kaepernick news to another thread cause this is literally all that's being talked about in here and we have the regular season starting next week.

*says this yesterday*

...

One day later...

man, you still talking that ********

Why are you so upset?

Am I not allowed to have the freedom to say that I think that Kaepernick has always been a self-entitled, cocky little ***** that not many people have ever liked since he got the job over Alex Smith? That he was the QB of a team that went to the Super Bowl but people didn't like the guy so much that he "lost the team" just a year or two later? That he had none of these things to say til he lost his job to BLAINE GABBERT....I repeat BLAINE GABBERT.....bruh. Didn't hear one peep from this guy that wasn't in some cocky *** tone like he couldn't care less what anybody had to say before his career faded away and nobody even wanted to trade for him. Broncos were cool with Mark Sanchez and Trevor Simien over him.

Keep believing anything that comes out of this dude's mouth though.

*goes on a Kap rant and continues the conversation*

:lol :{

By the way...you're pretty much confirming what others said. You're perfectly fine talking about Colin Kaepernick's stance under YOUR OWN terms.

BUT...once it gets to the part where we discuss the ugly truth of what he's speaking out about. Well...that's when "pls let's talk football in here pls, this is a sports thread :( " type pleas come out.

With all due respect...**** outta here with that ****.

You're the one that sounds the most upset between the two posts.

instagram is pretty good, you can use it for networking but it's also great source of info. found so many cool **** on there, basically what ever you're into you can find it.

people always say I don't care to see people's food pics but I was able to find some good places to eat because of it, even while in other countires.

I'm kind of late so I won't jump into it now, but I appreciate the open conversation in here. If only more of that took place in other mediums. Plenty of thoughtful posts on the matter...shout out to @CP1708 for that honest assessment a few pages back.

These things are always a matter of perspective. I've been blessed to grow up in a very diverse environment. All the schools I attended were diverse...same goes for the neighborhoods I've lived in and crowds I hung around. As I get older the circle gets smaller, but I've always had a wide range of acquaintances and close friends ('wide' in terms of how different each person is). I bring all that up to say this: the more perspective you gain, the easier it becomes to understand what others go through. If you're attentive and receptive to others' POV, you'll find some similarities and many differences between their plights and triumphs compared to yours. Maybe someone else's environment wasn't as diverse. Or either through choice or fate they only associated with people that resembled them. The one thing social media will always have going for it is it brings everyone together in real-time and becomes an incredible tool to gain perspective.

It's up to each individual to decide whether they want to absorb it all as they go...or log in narrow-minded and come out the same way.

I don't post a lot but I enjoy pics and what other folks do, I think I have like 70 posts in 2 years but it's kind of what facebook used to be to me

I most post family, sneakers once and a while, vacation, beer, food, etc.

CP, not sure what you meant by "show me hispanics being gunned down." We're right behind black people. 100 deaths by police this year alone. They're spreading the injustice around.

If I misunderstood, I apologize.

Rodney Harrison done took too much roids and hits to the head. How can you not obviously see Kaep is mixed. :lol

racism was becoming slowly becoming better in this country and it all went back to **** when the ripple effect of George Zimmerman happened IMO

I really agree with this

Nah. Before Trayvon it was Oscar Grant, Sean Bell, before that Rodney King. Racism was never getting better.

I mean for the current generation they really weren't familiar with those shooting and incidents. The Trayvon shooting IS their Rodney King.

That's true but Iike I said Oscar and Sean happened before that. Just because you might not see it doesn't mean it's not there. Even with Rodney King, black people had been talking about police brutality decades before that but most in America wanted to ignore it.

Poorly worded on my part probably. I was trying to think of high profile cases recently that "blew up" on social media.

I'm sure there are actual numbers for Asians, Hispanics, and Whites killed by cops, I just don't have the actual info.

My wife is Hispanic, we've heard quite a few racist comments....I guess since the whole build a wall thing, it got a lot more prevalent it seems. Trump gonna have problems he ever bumps into my wife someday. :lol

I didn't mean to dismiss any nationalities plight, just pointing out why BLM became a thing, and what it stands for.

No, it always existed in the shadows. The likes of George Zimmerman, Donald Trump, etc. empowered them.
To add to this seeing a black man elected president also but batteries in the back of racists in this country as well.

Got it. I'm hispanic and even I didn't know it was this bad until PBS/NPR did a piece on it. It was something like 145 black ppl killed and 100 hispanic. Ridiculous.
