ok i feel you on that. i think wash a first round talent  playoff team but serious contender i dont see it , kirk had a good year but jury is still out on him.

who knows though , thats just a guess

. well find out soon enough. 
 
Why would the Saints cut Cortland Finnegan? Their defense was horrible. I'd sign Finnegan even if it's just for a "ruffle the feathers" role.
 
im a cowboys fans but never bought into the irvin is goat talk. stats matter and i remember irvin after the 94 season and till he retired. dude struggled to get open and was called for lots of push offs. he was good but he wasnt that great. stats matter. so he had the best running back of all time on his squad , to bad. you can be goat type status without the stats.

great post ...still got a bunch of questions on the team tho , flacco coming back, the receivers gotta step up , who's playing running back , n does the secondary still suck ...schedule doesn't look tough at all on paper tho so hopefully it plays out like that on the field en route to taking back the crown as best team in the state :hat

ive heard people argue it . that he couldve put up the same amount of stats if he was in a pass first offense.

same with randy moss and calvin. jerry is goat. moss is probably the best one trick pony in nfl history though. jerry best all around.

The Ravens just don't have a lot of standout talent on the roster.  They do have a great coach though.

Stats matter. 10,256 yards in 8 seasons. 11 100 yard games in a single season a NFL record.

Read up on who led those Dallas teams. Irvin was the vocal leader, he kept them loose and focused. Intangibles that Rice, Moss, Calvin etc don't have. It goes back to his time in MIA. Jerry benefitted off having a GOAT at QB running a offense that took the league by surprise. Jerry played padding stats, Calvin quit but Irvin retired because he had to due to injury. Somehow Jerry hanging on and Calvin quitting is more respected? Ha ha ha

Same people who proclaim Jerry Goat based off stats are the same ones saying Calvin is great although he's not top 10 in yards or TDs with 0 rings to show for it. No base argument. Just madden logic.

Also hopefully better health ...always better when you don't have to deal with backups starting in most of the positions ...I hope I don't have to see Mallett or any of the bum replacement corners the whole season

It was last year. With the best offensive lines in the division having two rookies behind them offsets that. Giants offensive line is garbage and Eli is the only QB we have to get to. The corners will make the pass rush better.

There isn't 10 teams in the NFL with a better pair of corners then Washington.
