The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Yeah I heard it had something to do with Munoz but he already came out and denied getting into an altercation with Watson.

Dang.... That's basically the only position of it's kind in the entire universe.

Shame cause dude seemed like a real character. Hopefully they give the gig to a die hard mma fan and not some corporate square...

I think can see Rogan hanging it up in the not too distant future. He's made a few comments on fight companions that make me think he's pretty indifferent about the job.

The rumor was that Burt who is UFC's babysitter to the stars, "neglected" Munoz by leaving him at the arena after the weigh ins. Somehow UFC found out and an argument between Burt and a UFC employee occurred which ended with him quitting.

He's a grown man, he needs someone to hold his hand and walk him out of venue? I know he sets up transportation but something like that doesn't seem like it would be a big deal.

That can't be true

at least I would hope that isn't what took place

One more thing, sorry for the triple post

Joining our own Ariel Helwani on Monday's MMA Hour, Rousey's Jiu Jitsu coach Rener Gracie said he believed Cyborg was being given 'more credit than she deserves' in the proposed matchup with Rousey.

Cyborg's response

Cool story bro

I am not surprised you say Bad things about me.

Your Athlete used The Same technique to grow her name.

Tôo much credit? Who are you to say This?!

You dont know how hard a fighters life is.

You were born with a life of luxury, you dont know The struggles a brazilian girl has in América.

No promotion, helps me grow, only blood and sweat, chute boxe style.

Nobody made my name But me, i have no grandfather name to live off.

Go promote your online students While i earn my credit Fighting, and
ask The real gracies what respect means.

Went from never taking nothing, to taking for recovery, how convenient.

How many gracies are there? Seems like I see a new one's name pop up every week. Kyra is still bae though.

Cyborg is right. Except for the "nobody made my name" claim. She straight up stole the Cyborg nickname from her ex husband.

All of these mma websites and journalists are trying to get an interview or comment from Silva and TMZ does. Basically said he didn't use any PEDs to give him an edge and he's shocked by the results. He acknowledges taking something to help heal his leg. And he doesn't believe anything in his system gave him an edge against Diaz. He now wants a rematch against Diaz to prove to people he can beat him without PEDs.

Lol I love mcgregor, he knows exactly how to brand himself and get himself where he need to be

Brock used to shoot great in wwe. Of course he has mic skills not everyone could be chael

Pettis vs Dos Anjos. That's a real main event :hat

In terms of pure technique that's a super high level match up.

Cyborg is right. Except for the "nobody made my name" claim. She straight up stole the Cyborg nickname from her ex husband.

She didn't steal it

She had the name when she was married to him. I believe that was the cutesy joke between them

Not her fault he ended up being a can, and not making a name for himself.

Condit v Alves set for May 30

Alves actually coming off two wins and should be 4 in a row if not for making STUPID decisions with Kampmann (Alves was dominating Kampmann standing up but Alves decided to take him down for no reason and lost due to choke)

Judo has beef with MMA apparently, and I had no idea that MMA was banned in France

Jean-Luc Rouge, head of the French Judo Federation, warned any member teaching mixed martial arts would be excommunicated from their organization. "Anyone (in judo) caught teaching MMA will be removed from the French Judo Federation. MMA is illegal in France. All those who teach do not have the right and are liable to be written off. They put the Federation in trouble and if there is serious injury, it will be my fault," he told L'Equipe.

European Judo Union president Sergey Soloveychick told BBC World Service Sport this week, "MMA is not a sport, it is some kind of show."

"Sport should have some human values and sports should help society develop human values. With MMA, it is not so. It's not good if your opponent is on his stomach and you sit on him and beat his head. It's not good for the education of the young generation, so we don't like to promote this kind of organisation during our competition. The spirit is to destroy your opponents by different ways and this is not good," he argued.
