Ronda with the book of excuses. 99% of fighters don't come into a fight 100% but probably closer to 75%. She was ahead of the game when she came up in the ranks and others caught up and surpassed in her later years. Women's MMA is still not there yet but she would have still gotten exposed by the top fighters had she stayed in the UFC after the Nunes fight. Also in that interview you can tell even she's really trying to convince herself she was the women's GOAT. It's a cold game and it's rare you have a GSP or Khabib who go out largely on their own terms.

In her defense, women's BW is just as bad right now with Amanda retiring.

Notice they still haven't announced a Julianna/Raquel fight yet. But the division is big trash. Valentina could move up and cement her female GOATdom by winning another title in the division. Erin Blanchfield could also move up. She'd have the same issue if she ran into a bigger opponent like a GDR.

And let's be real, who has Holly knocked out in MMA? She got pillow hands. She's way more of a point fighter/grinder. Concussion or not, she catching the hands from Amanda.

True WBW is big trash rn without Nunes. We'll see if Kayla is able to keep her strength at that weight class and make quick work of Holly. It's probably why they haven't made a title fight yet with Pena/Rocky. They prob hope Kayla looks impressive, then make either her and Rocky or give Pena the fight then Kayla fights winner.
