The NBA Draft Thread

As an Orlando resident.. this was not the move to make. Maybe if this was Serge from a few years ago, then okay.. but this is Serge in 2016 and he's 49 years old.

Orlando's two biggest problems were they have a poor defensive big man and their PG can't shoot. So to fix that they add an old Serge Ibaka? It doesn't help the fact that you want to play Aaron Gordon more at the 4, so it's not a move to free up more space for their younger guys.

I would have been fine packaging the pick + Payton/Dipo for a legit starting PG who doesn't have the flaws like Payton.

The Magic just don't have any pieces that excite me. They missed their shot on any kind of superstar by the luck of the draft lotto, they haven't made any big trades, they're not favorites to sign any big FAs.. just not a lot of confidence moving forward.

Hit it right on the head. I thought Woj was losing it when he first reported this. I wouldn't trade Dipo for Ibaka straight up, but to throw in this year's pick and Ilyasova??? At 11 you still got Brice Johnson, Valentine, the guard from Cuse, or even Skal ******* Labissiere. Are they good fits? Maybe, I don't know, I didn't follow College ball as much as I normally do this season and those are the only names that stood out to me. Point being: OKC made out like bandits and Hennigan got straight up took.

Was there concerns about losing Dipo in free agency or something? Plus Ibaka is most definitely not 26. You can't trust the ages with a lot of these players. There were reports this morning about Thon Maker not being 19 but closer to 22-23. At that age he should've been dominating high schoolers. He wasn't.

Right now the only thing exciting me about the Magic is Frank Vogel. That's it. A good coaching hire.
