Ehh IDK about Lonzo's shot in the NBA. I also think you do want Saric and Simmons together if they're as good as we expect, and with Simmons as a primary ballhandler/playmaker I think you want a deadeye shooter in the other spot. He doesn't even need to be a great passer.

True, and I think they do understand the importance of spacing and shooting. But my point was just about the draft, I think of all the teams that need a primary playmaker like Lonzo the sixers aren't it. They have Simmons and could benefit from a great not just good shooter in the backcourt.The Sixers surprisingly were actually in the upper half of the league in three point shooting this year if I remember correctly, the year before that they were like last in the league. Their assistant coaches and Brett Brown should get a ton of credit for developing young players. His shot looks off. I know his %s in college are OK but that's a warning sign.
He has weird mechanics, but he's always confident shooting it and it goes in at a good rate. Where the mechanics really screw with him is when he has to pick the ball up off the dribble and move it to the other side of his body. It's too slow of a movement and he is going to need a lot of space to get it off. It's the main reason, IMO, that he only shot like 10 mid range shots all year.

He would. I think the biggest issue is that he just hasn't really shown that he can bring anything else to the table...Still don't think he'd be a bad pick for them though by any means.
He shot plenty of 3s where he was just catching and shooting as the ball was swinging around. He was not the one that had to create that distance all the time. I completely agree that he'll be up against better defenders and he's going to have a much harder time creating distance. In an offense with good spacing and several high IQ passers, Lonzo should be able to shoot his fair share of open 3s.
