So who knows.
I am quite sure that if you were what all your "white friends" had to reference in regard to Black culture and awareness, our new Black President and his wonderfully intelligent and attractive Black family, must have been a shock, possibly to no fault of their own.

Perhaps it'd be better to ask them about how THEY feel.

You're right my white friends thought ALL black (and anything mixed with black) people were second class citizens, prone to violence, socially irresponsible and had pecan sized brains before Obama got elected.

With you as an example, especially after what I have witnessed from you here, I can totally believe that.

Yea ok....I clearly taught my white friends to be racist, liberal philanthropists. I hate black people, but I don't want them to suffer. The KKK is %$%## up.

Anyhow let's not do this convo anymore, it leads nowhere. Besides, I've truly changed my ways or atleast I'm trying to. I applied for an internship with the NAACP and I'm growing a freeway beard and rocking a Dashiki with a matching Koofie.
That is one heckuva look you got there. Nothing says "I've changed my ways" like a freeway beard.

Back to the matter at hand:

Ever since Obama has become president, I've noticed a look in people's eyes that says 'I will be nicer to you because you, too, look like you could possibly be president someday' but maybe I'm delusional. I am definitely hung-over.

What Im more concerned about from our president has nothing to do with how one race treats another but more with how can we as a country move on from the financial mess we are in along with other important reforms that we are in desperate need of.

The same people that want other races to look past color are the same people who the first thing they notice is color and how it relates to their actions. Kind of ironic.
Who are these "same people" you speak of?  Nice generalization there.

Some people really lack critical thinking skills.  Noticing color is unequal to prejudice/racism/discrimination.

If I tell you I'm a Black man and identify myself as a BLACK man, that does not mean I want you to treat me differently solely based on the color of my skin.

Again, who are these "people" that want other races to pretend color doesn't exist?

Word to Nation of Islam prison converts. There isn't a better way to atone for the horrible things you've done than to convert to Islam.

The "darker side", is the intensity of those who already hated people of color are now behaving, as if they have something to be fearful of, as in some sort of reprisal.

A majority of Republicans.

I do know this: My boss loves fox news so that's all we watch in the office, and anything Obama/democrat related is scrutinized and hated like none other. I've always heard about how bias they were and it's true. I even sent them an email addressing this observation.

I've witnessed the FOX phenom as well. Subtle racist notions are being spread, as they only feature White people telling their version of the "News".

This.

While I've noticed SOME solidarity among people willing to expand their horizons, the TRUE conservatives are worried that they are losing footing in the country. They feel threatened and are becoming MORE racist.

And people STILL buy into the Superiority idea to this day.

You attempting to derail this thread. I understand that you lack the gumption to present yourself honestly as a Black man, however, those of us who are conscious, are completely aware of what it is that you are really about.

It seems that you are only really happy, when someone other than Black people are cosigning you, then patting you on the back.

"Good boy!"

Shame on you.....
