You know Nat Turner, you right I'm racist....
I've called other races out on racism in this thread, if you choose to not see it that's your problem. I'm extremely politically and socially liberal. Take that for what it is. I have argued against white conservative racism disguised as political agendas in this thread several times. Your issue with me is I don't let black people get away with being hypocrites when it comes to matters of race.
Again, I'm trying. PM me a list of things I should do to be more of your idea of the a good, strong black man.
You still did not address Tim Wise. You've called Jesse Jackson a racist, yet he and Wise share the same beliefs, with Jackson actually living what Wise speaks upon.
Is Wise a racist as well?
Then back to the topic, how can you say that the election of President Obama, has not effected how people have treated you? Has America ever had a Black President before? Did anyone ask you any questions during the election, on how you may feel about that historical moment? Or did you simply say, "I don't care, doesn't matter to me, I'm neutral, I have White friends and 'wimmens' anyways."
There is clearly something you want me to say, and it would be a complete lie. I haven't noticed any difference in how white people have treated me before and Obama and you're gonna have to live with that buddy. Most of my white friends were avid Obama supporters, none of them asked me any racial questions pertaining to dude. Many of them supported his vision of change and hope that this leads to some racial harmony. Believe it or not a black guy can associate himself with white people without issues of race constantly looming over their heads. Some people were racist before Obama, some people were racist after Obama. Not much has changed.
Obama's win was a truel historic moment, and it was a win-win for in my book cause I actually support his political stance on most things and it got a "minority" in office to serve as a role model for minority youth. If Obama was a republican I wouldn't support him simply because of his race.
On both sides, white and black there was a lot of racial/political ignorance exposed during this campaign. Voting for someone or against someone solely because he is black is downright disgusting in my book.
Looked up Tim Wise...Yes institutionalized racism exists but we shouldn't look for in EVERYWHERE like Jesse Jackson does.
Again, there's no such thing as a half-way racist....I express a lot of opinions in this thread that make it clear that I don't support crimes against humanity based on prejudices/religion/sexuality but I don't do it at the expense of supporting contradictions, hypocrisy and stupidity.
