THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

So going into camp, is Dunbar #2 on the depth chart behind demarco?

As of right now, I've been hearing Joseph Randle is #2. But anything can happen in training camp.

I Would like to see our Rookies contribute alot this year. Especially from the defensive side.

Will Allen might get the starting job as SS.

But JJ Wilcox is learning the Defense quick, and might give Allen a run for his money.

To tell you the truth I'm not even worried about NY or Philly. We should mollywhop them without a doubt.

It's the skins is our only threat and might give us that scenario like last year again "win or go home".

If we stop the read option, No doubt we will win. Just look at how SEA did it in the playoffs. Or Ravens D did against Kaep in the superbowl. The Blueprints been set we just need to utilize it and embrace it.

cant agree with the first part..giants OWN us in dallas...point blank period..so i wouldnt count on sweeping them, tho it would be nice...

philly idk what to expect...my first instinct is they will suck, but i thought that about was last year..

washington is gonna be tough..they swept us last season, with crazy stats in both..plus demarcus stood no chance against the option, i expect monty to sure that up tho..

east is gonna be tough.

our division is gonna be tough this year... im not worried about philly, but NY & washington scare me. i think we can split with both teams, even with washington beating us twice last year. its gonna be a battle though, there's no doubt about it :lol

Vickers was never on the same page with the RBs. I heard that they weren't pleased with his blocking that's why late in the season he was used more in the passing attack. Guess they feel they can run better out of a 1 back set.

Possibly true. But we really didn't have a constant RB starter.

Since we stacked up on TE's I see one in the backfield blocking.

Or maybe we start doing empty backfield formations.

worse thing they did was signing vickers over tony fiametta (sp?)..i know vickers had the proven track record, producing 1000 yd rushers everywhere he went..that success seemingly should have came with him to dallas...we know how that went..

if theyre committing to demarco murray then fiametta was the best choice..him and murray gelled in every sense of the word the season prior..it was instant chemistry..

for what its worth i prefer running from the 12 with two tight ends vs a traditional fullback anyway with this team...hannah will make a name for himself this year..

We have the talent, all they need to do is stay healthy and establish a gouging/clock controlling running game for our success

Absolutely nothing good can come from this
Ain't like Scandrick is some shutdown corner.

Dude minus whale legally change his name to Mediocre.

Him being involved with this bird can't possibly make his play on the field any worse.

Nah son, I mean I don't want to be watching a game and see the camera pan to this broad in the stands :{

I heard from Broaddus that they have wanna use Dante Rosario as the blocking TE when needed. Curious how they gonna handle short yardage situations without a FB.

I guess they are going through the season without a FB.

I wouldn't mind on short yardage/goal line situations having witten in the backfield hit him on a play action and while having the backup TE's on the line. That would definitely throw off the defense. Witten is to quick for LB's and to strong for a Corner to match up on him.

I Couldn't find the article but last week I read Dallas has the #3 WR corps in the NFL behind #1 Broncos and #2 ATL. We have the potential to have a powerhouse for an offense, If Murray can get 15+ touches a game and make it to the Bye injury free, we may have over .500 record.

i wanna see 20+

we all wanna see 20 carries by murray....but we all know dude aint built to last 16..

is what it is...

he doesnt need 20 carries but 20 touches would be great him on screens would really slow up the d-lines from rushing romo and help our sorry o-line. He can make people miss when he isnt trying to run threw them

Gotcha.

Don't think Draya is famous enough to get camera pans though so you don't have to worry about that.

I'd like to see him get 16-18 carries and catch 3-4 balls because his hands are good. That's a lot to ask from dude for 16 games and maybe more seeing that he's never been healthy. The backups Randle and Dunbar have to be effective too. I don't think Tanner makes the team this year.

I think the reason we havent seen him 'capable' of 20+ because we go down a little, and garrett goes on to call nothing but pass plays.

He'll get 12 carries in the 1st half, then 3 in the 2nd.

idk tho...frustrating

Im sorry but the decision to make him hc still bothers me. When we had wade i felt the major problem was the offensive playcalling. You throw 1st and 2nd get nothing then finally u wanna run the ball on 3rd and 10. I wish he would challenge the o line and make them play ball line up on first down and run the ball no tricks just be better than the man across from you
