A few people made it iirc. I tried then on, zero chance I could wear them.
If these were a size 9, I’d definitely be trying to snake these. Whew!

If this was a "problem" for Nike they could solve it simply in two ways:Yea I'm there with you. I know they have a great return policy but I feel like ordering 3 pairs in multiple sizes knowing you'll return at least half of them is just abusing the system. Other companies don't have great return policies for exactly this reason. No shade to those that do it, I just can't bring myself to waste time time, money, and resources like that.
It's very likely that they already are doing this. They know some people are going to do this. Everyone else pays for it.2. Charging even more and covering the costs to provide more affirmation of materials, execution, and sizing.
We'll just disagree on this, that's cool.Until then, if I do multiple NBYs to get the execution/sizing right and choose to keep what works and return what doesn't, I don't think that's abuse. That's just shopping.
I appreciate the diplomacy. Seriously. We can disagree without being disagreeable. I'm curious though. Let's say I buy 3 of these Air Max 1s in my size 11 and none of them fit, or there are significant QC/execution issues, etc. Personally would you still keep all 3 anyway? It's very likely that they already are doing this. It's the intent for me. I've returned plenty of things over the years. I don't think I've ever ordered something knowing I'd send it back.I appreciate the diplomacy. Seriously. I think the policy is there for mistakes. "Oh, I ordered the wrong size, glad I can take it back." or "Ehh this isn't the color I was expected, I'll send it back." or "Oh man I bought this blanket 6 months ago and never used it, I'll take it back." I don't think the intent is "Ehh **** it I'm ordering 10 pairs of custom shoes bc I like to play on the builder and I'll figure out which one I like and send the other 9 back bc that's what the policy says I can do. I may send all of them back, **** em."
But you have to acknowledge the intent is because of those factors. In that case we'd just accept whatever final result of what we ordered. Now if it's where it's addressed like JC mentioned or the build creator is still there to try again... then I guess that would remedy going about it the said route. It's the intent for me. I get what you're saying. But I think there's a difference in ordering 1-2 pairs, maybe liking one and not liking the other, and returning one and ordering 10 knowing you'll return 8-9 of them. It's the pre-planning to return and the intent that's not for me.But you have to acknowledge the intent is because of those factors. Just some pictures of the materials would be helpful and they are like nahI purchased several NBY pairs and have no intent to return but I wish Nike used better rendering software since it’s difficult to tell what the final product will look like. That in itself would probably prevent a lot of potential returns.
Yup, and glad they got rid of that option. It was a pain in the *** making sure the left and right shoe matched. Plus with the limited time you had to build, it was inevitable that errors were going to happen on some people’s pairs.Did NBY used to design the shoes individually? I seem to remember that being the case with the safaris but can’t recall.

Best pic I've seen of these.
I remember that.Back in the day when it was still Nike ID if the pairs came in with bad quality/issues they would remake the pair for you and let you keep the first pair. Happened to me a couple times. They would schedule a call or a chat with a "ID specialist" or something like that.
