ok so looking at the stats both teams had 3 turnovers. The Raider won rushing, you rush for TWICE as many yards and you were penalized for 40 yards and them60. I dont think they could play any better when they take the trip down to SD I mean to hold them to 77 yards on the ground I just can't see thathappening again but who knows. Its just a shame the defense was so passive at home. It seemed like they were playing for overtime instead of going out thereand backing up the exelent drive by the offense.

Raiders young offense is CRAZY STUPID if they can get it all in sync

SD's special teams accounted for what seemed like 200 yards... not to mention a punt that totally changed field positions.its the most overlooked aspectof the game.
it ended up being the difference in the game

The Raiders looked pretty good last nite IMO. Jamarcus Russell still needs a lot of work. Kid has a helluva arm but lacks in the Accuracy department. Kinda madthey took that TD away from Oakland though.

After sleeping on the game, I feel better about what I saw. I haven't seen a Raider team play that well for 3 quarters in years.

I'll start with the defense. It was huge for us to hold the Chargers to less than 100 on the ground. If we can consistently play with
discipline and stop the run, we WILL win games. Point. Blank. Period. I don't know if last night was a fluke so I can't be too excited...
hell even Miami won like 10 games last year. In preseason, we got killed with those tosses to the left...I was definitely surprised with
how well we defended that. Which brings me to Seymour.

Richard Seymour is a great player. Al Davis knew what he was doing. We probably would have drafted a CB with that 1st round pick
anyways...hell, we need it looking at the play of Routt. I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to sign another CB.

BUT, that prevent defense +*%# has got to stop. Al Davis always does this 3 man rush +*%# when when need to continue to pressure the QB.
It's been this way for years and we've lost countless close games because of it.

As far as the offense, our running game is on point. That was the BEST I've seen McFadden run. Bush had some solid runs too.
I hope to God the coaching staff sees what we CAN do without Fargas in the lineup. Only con on McBush was that a couple times
on 3rd down, we put in Oren O'Neal, a FB, to pick up the blitz....but he can't catch in the flats like Darren or Michael.

The receivers...were average. Early in the game, they couldn't get open...dropped a couple balls, but they cleaned that up as the game went on.
Johnnie Lee played well, besides that one drop, but you can't blame him too much for that one. I put that on Jamarcus. Murphy is special.
Heyward-Bey has a ways to go. We miss Schilens. Jamarcus has the same chemistry with Schilens as he does with Zach Miller, who was beasting btw.

Jamarcus Jamarcus Jamarcus...we will go only as far as he takes us. Al Davis is not giving up on the kid, reason why Garcia wanted out. So he's going
to have to practice on his foot work...stepping into throws and his mechanics. He can make every throw, but we need him to be consistent. And for the
love of EVERYTHING HOLY, stop looking down receivers.

Special Teams really let me down. In all of our years of suckage, that was the 1/3rd we could count on to be solid. The punting game was solid and thatcoverage
was good, but kickoffs absolutely killed us. Sproles had a field day.

We have a ton of work to do still. I'll give the Chargers mad credit for their adjustments in the Second half...they stopped our running game, forcedJamarcus to
beat them and he couldn't. Rivers is a pretty good QB. Vincent Jackson beat Asomugha...but I'm too surprised with that one. Jackson has faired the bestagainst
Asomugha (because of his size and speed) out of anyone. Jackson does have the POTENTIAL to be a Top 10 WR in this league. I highly doubt he will, but he hasthe
talent. Sproles is a beast as usual...I guess that franchise tag wasn't such a bad idea after all, considering the night LT had.

sat at section 102 of the game and IT WAS LOUD the whole time.

The only thing I didnt like was Bush rushing straight up the middle and getting stopped. It wasnt working so why keep doing it!

Raiders will win the AFC WEST...Believe that.

Don't get carried away now. If you truly believe that, where can I place my bet?

Winning the AFC West is very possible but I don't think it's going to happen. I do believe this season will be much better than the last few yearsthough.

zone i think, looking at the other side of the field as well. cromartie thought it was an out and sat on it, murphy kept going.

Looks like a zone right?

Me and the homie are getting into a heated debate. I'm calling it a cover 2 while he first called it a cover 3 then a 4 deep zone.

I don't know much about specifics in zone plays so I was hoping some of our experts on here can settle this.

its cover 3. the other safety took away hook/flat short route

and the two corners had deep thirds. FS just got caught lookin short and didnt get his depth
