Ask away. PM if want.

For those wondering I doubled in English and German as my majors for law school. I went in pre-med, switched sophmore-**# year to nothing took a bunch of random classes... econ, business, philosophy, history, whatever, decided that I was going to go to law school and then just went and finished up with the classes I thought would prepare me. Ended up with English/German... not sure how that happened to this day.

For those that are wondering what its like.. I'm headed to a final right now. Have slept 4 hours a night for the last week and have done nothing but study for most of the day for the better of the last two weeks. I moved my couch next to my bed and just power nap it when I get tired. It's brutal.

First year is the worst all the way through. Second year you just kill it during exam time.

school me on law school?
There is no "pre law"major. If you want to go to law school take a major where you can get the BEST POSSIBLE GRADES and maybe throw in a few classes on formal logic.

Law school only cares about numbers. Unless you cured cancer or landed on the moon they do not care what you did in undergrad.

It's true to an extent but some people unique majors stand out from other candidates. Also depending on what type of law you want to do, it makes sense to pick a related major. I knew I was gonna do tax law so I went ahead and got my BSac and MAcc.

I may be coming to you for some tax questions in a couple days

I have noticed that tax specialists/engineering background are sought after, not many engineers in law school. Not sure why you would put yourself through that though.

I attend Ohio State on a full-academic scholarship.
-Whatever classes you take, do not feel intimidated. Here, a majority chemistry classes are made out to be more difficult than they need to be so most students will become flustered and switch majors. If you receive a bad grade, just sit back and realize it's not the end of the world.
-Some say do what you love, but the truth is doing what "I" love would not put food on the table and pay bills. I'm a biology major with aspirations of attending medical school, yet the possiblity of nurse anesthesia is growing more and more likely.
-You will meet plenty of girls your freshman year if you are down-to-earth and generally fun to be around. Get a few older hookups that will provide you with admission/invites to parties, your heard of freshman girls will follow you to each and every one. During this year, I decided to join a fraternity and the major upside along with community service, networking, and friendship has to be sorority girls. There is just nothing like a tan and rich trust fund baby.
-Get on a solid routine. Meet a cat who knows a lot about fitness/nutrition, go to the gym with him and take notes on what he has to say. Looking good and feeling better will pay off.
-I'm a firm believer in the work hard/play hard mentality. During the day it's all about drilling in the library, office hours, gym, and getting solid meals in, but having fun at night relieves a ton of stress and helps me stay relaxed throughout the week.
-Don't be the kid who gets wrapped up in playing too many video games throughout the course of your day. The potential of college being the time of your life is in your hands, so spend your time wisely. Try to stay away from getting a girlfriend if you are an underclassman unless you know she's the one. Believe me, dimes are abundant at any large school (especially down south), and you never know when different opporunities may arise.
-Try to be kind to everyone. That insanely smart yet weird kid down the hall can come in handy during finals time. That's all I have for now. I've been reading NT for awhile now but have yet to post. Most of advice was gathered through trial and error. Have fun.

Please tell me I am not the only one who hates 8 week, 12 week and online classes with a passion. I completely screwed up my GPA this year thanks registering for a school 4 hours away from home in the fall at the last minute and getting all the bs classes. then something happened while I was there financially that forced me to move back home and I had to do the same thing all over again in the spring with 8 week online courses. Now my FA is probably all screwed up ,I've been too busy with school work to find a PT job so im broke as hell, Parent were screwing around with their taxes so I havent even done my 2011-2012 financial aid yet. I feel like dropping out and jumping off a bridge as all my hard work didnt amount to sh**.

SO let me tell you all what not to do to end up in my shoes:

TO all you Freshman remember the following

GPA does matter if you want to go to grad school and FA and Scholarship.

Basically to be successful you need to schedule your daytime for studying at least 6-8 hours, then everything else comes after. I do a lot of things not including a job that I need and I've cut back sleep to 5-6 hours a night just to stay on top of my %!@% and I still didnt end up with the GPA I wanted.

Do not fall in love or tie any knot with any chick . Your grades will slip and you need to focus on your future not the p. I know we all need some female attention so the best way is a team of J/O, one nighters, or one main joint ALL these other hs grad/ged and party only chicks dont understand the logic of hit the books and will side track you big time if you arent focused.

PICK Classes early or suffer the consequences.

DO not work full -time, Its a expensive world to live in out here but if you take school serious it wont work out because you will probably burn your self out and have free time for an outlet. So what if you stack a lot of loans you need to suck that college bone dry for all the oppurtunites you can

CC and commuter schools are only wise financially. You will miss out on CLUBS, FRATS, BALL GAMES, PARTIES,DRUNK GIRLS, STUDY GROUPS, VARIOUS OTHER RESOURCES AND MOST IMPORTANTLY NETWORKS AND INTERNSHIPS.

Bonus: THE HW in the my math lab web component will have your +@% working like a slave if you school uses it. So be prepared!!
