Seriously, I just can't stand it anymore. I defended the guy as fellow C's fans dogged him but now I see it. This guy is seriously just the benefactor of 3 HOF players. His rotations are atrocious. He doesn't play the young guys at all (Tony Allen benched after a great 1st half). He has run the Big 3 into the ground with the ridiculous minutes. Tonight he draws up a play for a guy who was 2 of 9 shooting, and 0 of 6 from 3 point land (ALSO think that Ray Allen should be traded because the guy just doesn't have it anymore, #%!load of turnovers and misses every wide open shot). Tempo in the 4th quarter was just bad, and a mistake, and KG said these same things post game.

The guy is just not a good coach, he's clueless. Done defending him. Ainge, find us a real coach.

It could be worse... you could have Don Nelson.

are you kidding? that was a good play at the end, Ray knocks down that shot more often than not

Did you not read where I said Ray Allen was 0 for from beyond the arc? The team needed a 2 to win...

Not even that play I'm talking about. It's the rotations, the tempo, the plays, the minutes given to the big 3.

Don Nelson, yeah that's bad.

Some of you really need to leave the sports forum. Shooters like Ray Allen are streaky and on certain nights you have to find another option. Someone as cold as he was (2 of 9 from the field and 0 for 5 from 3), please. Team had 7 seconds and needed a basket, you do not chuck up a 3 in that case. Learn the game of basketball.

It probably would've been best to run a play through Rondo to get it to Paul/KG

But, Doc has a lot of trust of Ray to hit that shot

Yep, and that's what is getting us killed. You guys don't follow this team but Ray has been as bad as ever lately. He isn't getting lift on his jumpshots and isn't hitting wide open shots. Right now he is a liability and a better coach would realize this and get better guys involved. Rondo and Tony Allen were playing well all game and had the ball out of their hands the last 2 minutes tonight. House is shooting much better, I'd rather have him in at that point. You can't count on a guy because of what his name is, you count on the hot hand.

I'm hoping Ainge works out a trade for Ray, and if the C's keep this freefall going, consider firing Doc. Seriously.

Yeah I can't say I follow the Celtics, but I have noticed Ray doesn't look the same from previous years, which was bound to happen. KG is already showing signs also.

Besides, the Celtics have won a lot of games with the ball in Pierce's / Allen's hands. Just because one of them happens to be having an off night doesn't mean they should all the sudden stop trusting them to do what they've proven they can do and just because it happened to be Allen having an off game doesn't change the fact that he has and will hit that shot the majority of the time.
Again, that is NOT the point. The point is drawing up a play for a 2-point shot. Drive to the basket! There's 7 seconds on the shot clock. At this point, C's fans have every right to question Doc. This is not the only problem with his coaching right now.

you think that maybe the first options werent open so they had to go to ray? just saying

One reason is not distributing minutes very well. Notice that the team was playing extremely well when Ray wasn't in there?

Retro, yeah my point exactly. Doc draws up some real bonehead plays. What about Rasheed taking the last shot against the Magic? Another example of this ineptitude.

I back up everything you said.

Rondo wasn't on the court at the end of the game....are you @%$@%*! kidding me?

We needed a two, not a three. I could understand putting shooters out there but we only needed two and he was killing them all game.

Yes. The C's have been getting by in spite of Doc, not because of him. I would have definitely made this thread regardless.

I'll say that Doc's coaching has lost quite a few of the, what are the Celtics at, 16 losses now? Ugh.

But I don't know if firing him makes too much of a difference. Promote Thib? All for that if any coaching change is going to be made.

I just can't believe Kobe scores only 19 points and the C's still can't manage to get the W at home.

There's no consistency to this team. They started the year fantastic and now its almost freefall-esque.

I'm tired of seeing it already. Rasheed has been a big, fat (literally) disappointment.

Ray is playing awful. And either KG figures out a way to play to whatever capabilities he has left or it's over.

Injuries or not, this team has underachieved and it makes me puke.

Hope Danny has a plan.
