The Official Get Rich Thread vol. Where should I put my money??

Ok yall so Im 18, and I've been thinking about the long run lately and how I want to be sitting on a pretty penny along with working a solid job.  I figure if I invest a small amount of the money I make each paycheck into something, I can make back GUAP in the long-run wayyyy down the road.  So what should I be investing in?
Stocks?

Gold?

Silver??

CLEARLY, Im a freshman at a University right now.  But I want to make money while I make money, nahmean?

Not including the internet boom of the 90's but over 95% of self made millionaires earned there money from Real Estate.  Buy a house young and rent a room to one of your buddies. Save up more money, rent out your house to a family and buy another one.  Learn to flip houses and make money.
