I'm in the market for a 14k Lady of Guadalupe piece for my 10mm Cuban. About 2-2.5" size.
I'm in SoCal and plan to go browse in person in the Diamond District area this weekend.

2 questions - any idea what I'd be looking at price wise for that piece, 14k? (no diamonds). I've seen 2 sites list it online but in my experience there's a markup for pieces listed on sites.

& any sites online besides If and Co that carry it to order? Grimal has one, but it's inside of a circular gold pendant. I'm looking for something more like this style wise but all yellow gold.

Most of the ones you'll see in the diamond district are the stamped catalog ones, but it's been a while since I've been out there.

Spot price for 14k is $31-32..so that’s almost 100% on top for labor. Obviously the heavier the cheaper..but looks a bit steep IMO.

Rey quoted me $4k for 69g
Daniel is $3665 for 66g (however for a 26” it would cost $3900 for 70g)
CMG is $3535 for 76g (26” would be $3825 for 82g)
Leon is $3624.50 for 65g

General consensus is that Reys and Leon are the top makers. Some folks have said Reys is better at smaller sized (under 10MM) and Leon’s for anything bigger.

Daniels has been a hit or miss in the past and I
remember reading they outsource their chains.

cmg has been said to have sold chains under karat although there’s no solid proof.

i dont know if you care but insurance is much cheaper if you have home insurance already... i did that instead of jewelry mutual and difference was like over 200 bucks more on jewelry mutual.... i went with state farm and same coverage only difference is i have to pay a deductible of 500 if i lost it and get a new one...

I had State Farm and lost my ring and they tried to make me jump through hoops since my policy was “too new” I personally don’t recommend them especially if you have to use it. But again that was just my experience

I popped in the big 3 personally.. all are similar! I went wit Daniels because of the overall customer service. Reys was high..Leon was cool.. Daniels was more accommodating especially on the price match and the 14mm is tight and beautiful

The Buffalo pendant is really nice. It’s got the swivel bale, VVS diamonds in the bale, and in the letters. Not huge but it’s a dope lil piece. He had it on a 24in, looked about 3-4mm solid rope. I’ll get some better pics next time we get up

yeah they're like the 3-4 finger rings that ppl wore back in the days but on the neck. other fonts are kool but I appreciate that piece for the simplicity. simple way to rep . maybe a bit hood but I mean I have at least a few hood pieces (Ghostface Jesus piece is hood jewelry so is the Santa Barbara that I have) Biz Markie dropped in Jacob:

I keep seeing inconsistent links in pics of Leon chains. Got me spooked bc my chain from him is supposed to be finished tomorrow. No one tags his work on IG, no YouTube reviews... Seems odd for as much as his name is mentioned here
