Anyone played with creating a WTK8 inspired shoe with these? obviously requires buying 2 pair, I got the right shoe to look decent, struggling with the left.

Whoa, I disagree, I find the performance of these to be the best yet. While I loved the performance of the Kobe 5 and 6, I disliked the 7, hated the 8, liked the 9, I find these to be the best yet. Cushioning and traction are A+, flex is awesome (something I need in a shoe).

Cliffs notes - Performance 10>5>6>9>7>8. (Never played in anything before the 5).

And I bought 2 ID's pairs just to hoop.

How can you hate the 8s but like the 9s? Only difference was 9s had a more padded tongue and had goat traction.

Edit: and 8s hurt my achillies

Bingo. Hurt my achilles. BAD. And my arches too. Didn't have that problem with the 9's. I hate the 8's extra, because they caused me to not try the 9's for like a year, thinking it would be the same as the problem I had with the 8's.

The two feel different. The 9's win hands down. I love the X too.

8s are very much for lighter players. Im 6ft 170 and theyre the best shoe I've ever played in.
