Hey guys.

Created this thread since a lot of members have complained about the 2k talk in the Lebron thread.
Please use this thread to discuss things related to getting the code.

Bare minimum requirements in MyCareer

Xbox One and Playstation 4 ONLY
US accounts only
Level 90
Nike Contract - after 60 games but time varies from user to user. I got my contract at 65 games
Create your own shoe - if level 90 and you have a Nike contract, you do this at about 6-10 games after the contract
B or better for team chemistry
Must be a starter
Do NOT leave your childhood friend as an agent
Your 2k account cant be associated with a comcast email address for some reason

you have to be a yes man in this game. asking for more minutes, demanding the ball or being iverson in the press conference can set you back

1)  Anyone not get a Nike contract in their rookie season?  I'm 71 games in and I'm still a sixth man despite averaging 29 points per game.  I already got a trade but still a 6th man.  If I don't get it in my first season can I just sim the second season until I do?

2)  How do you get the Nike contract?  Do you have to play a certain amount of games after they offer it to you?  For instance I need to play 10 games above my averages for a Gatorade contract right now.

3)  Are there any consequences to fouling out after I hit 30+ points in a game (aka above my typical average) and any other bonuses (social media, etc.)?  Trying to do this as quick as possible.  I've done this a few times and I'm hoping this doesn't set me back.

did you meet the quota for the 1st post in the thread?

you getting a trade probably means you don't have that B for good team chemistry. as stated in the 1st post, I got my contract in game 66. my agent just said hey, its time to choose between Nike and Jordan brand for endorsements.

maybe it depends on what position you picked. all 3 i've gotten was at 60 games for the deal and 74 for the sig shoe

could be. I was a PG. I also chose the sponsor that had me wait to get the bigger deal vs the exclusivity if it matters. I think it was sprite.

You have to be a starter to get the Nike deal. If you're not starting lower your difficulty up your minutes and score. Steals, blocks, rebounds don't matter much. Assist and points. Show your coach that you outdo your positions starting player every game. Once you get the Nike contract you will play at least 7 to 10 more games. I almost gave up as well just continue playing and continue the pursuit it will be well worth it. Stick with your friend as an agent and it will payoff.

Yea you have to continually meet the dynamic goals set by your coach when he ask you to. So if he ask you to get rolling and make 3 out of your first 4 shots then you need to do it. Also keep your FG% above 50. This helped me a lot and became a starter around game 20. 6 minute quarters, barrage of 3 pointers and assist will also help. Also use the training boosters to add +10 to any skill like steals. I racked up a ton of steals each game by making my offensive and defensive awareness +10 and those easy baskets helped keep my FG% above 70% most games.

I got my code in the playoffs of season 1 so its reasonable to thing you can get it in year 2.
which position do you play? I played PG so I had the rock a lot. really helped that I had the bucks as a team because a lot of the players on the team shot 3s so I can do a lot of drive and kicks. I also fed larry sanders a lot when driving to the hoop. You can also get some assists by getting double teamed in the post and dishing it out.

i literally just became a starter and idk how many games i've done but its the middle of january. 93 overall, B+ average team rating and recently averaging about 30 ppg, 4 apg, and 6 rpg

and quick question, am i allowed to accept any other endorsements from companies such as gatorade, or should i decline them/purposely fail their requirements in order to sign with nike?

I play SG.  For some reason every time I pass it gets picked off or the other guy dishes it out to someone else.

I'm also not that good at this game.

I'm on the Pelicans and we are close to the bottom so I don't see us making the playoffs.  Wondering if I can meet all of the requirements by simming the game in the playoffs and next season.  Anyone have any luck doing so?

didn't have any issues with getting other endorsements. helps you get VC too.

hmmmm. my assists come earlier in the game. if you are up by too many points, the cpu will hesitate instead of quickly shooting. work on your post game and the direct passing so you can pass out of doubles. its no reason why A Davis cant get you like 3-4 assists per game.

It took me longer than I expected to be a starter, maybe 45-50 games in, but I still got the code by about game 75 or so. Nike contract came for me around game 70 I think. I played on All-Star, not sure if difficulty makes any difference other than giving you a VC multiplier each game.
