I decided to go with the 2.26 and upgrade the ram and hdd...Can they upgrade the ram at the apple store? If so how much do they charge?
Go on Crucial.com and find your MBP and copy that URL, pull it up on one of Best Buy's computers and have them honor it. I had it done and then I installed the RAM myself, YouTube will help you install and you will need a #00 screwdriver if the 15" MBP is like the 13", because I had to buy a #00 from Amazon. I paid $80 for 2x2gb RAM when I should have paid about $180, I wasso hard when the mangers face looked

Yes...here is my receipt for proof.
http://www.crucial.com/st...mtbpoid=C83117F8A5CA7304
This is the link for my 2.4 GHz 15" MBP that is compatible with the DDR3 RAM.
That is a 2gbX1 so I just got two of those because there are 2 slots in my MBP and I replaced it.
Receipt
It worked for me![]()

As you can see it says 'Match Competitor' and has the Crucial price on there![]()

A MBP is stronger and more powerful than a regular MB. What's the specs on the MB?Originally Posted by GSDOUBLEU

Pretty much the pros have firewire and sd slot. If you don't need firewire and the spec bump isn't a big deal to you then yeah it's worth it. It's the unibody mac book right?
