So I'm computerless for the time being... and we got a sick new Asus in at work...

I'm so tempted to go back to the Darkside

But I can't

Just debating between the 13.3 inch 2.53 Pro or the 15 Inch for 200 more... I'd like a bigger screen, but hard to justify 200 more just for a slightlylarger screen

Is there any type of app where you can DL and open any and all types of files? Thanx

RAR Expander. It should make it default by it self then you should have no problems. If it doesnt make it default. right click -> get info -> open with.

Do not do that, unless money is not a problem.

Go on Crucial.com and find your MBP and copy that URL, pull it up on one of Best Buy's computers and have them honor it. I had it done and then I installed the RAM myself, YouTube will help you install and you will need a #00 screwdriver if the 15" MBP is like the 13", because I had to buy a #00 from Amazon. I paid $80 for 2x2gb RAM when I should have paid about $180, I was

This is the link for my 2.4 GHz 15" MBP that is compatible with the DDR3 RAM.
That is a 2gbX1 so I just got two of those because there are 2 slots in my MBP and I replaced it.

What type of macbook did you install it on?

I just copped the new macbook pro and want to do this myself.

Whats the difference between a Mac book and a Mac book Pro? Cause there is someone that is selling a 13 in mac book that he bought early this year for around900. Is it worth it?

A MBP is stronger and more powerful than a regular MB. What's the specs on the MB?

NT, I have a dilemma. I want to buy a laptop, preferably a macbook but i don't know if it's worth the money.

I've narrowed it down to two options:

1.) 13" Macbook Pro ~ upgraded to 320gb hd ~ $1560 w/ tax + shipping
http://store.apple.com/us_edu_18847/configure/Z0GL

2.) HP Pavilion dv7-2040us NoteBook Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000(2.00GHz) 17.3" 4GB Memory 500GB HD ~ $1200
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147985

The HP is CLEARLY a better choice in terms of specs and price.
Tell me why I should still get the MBP.

Pretty much the pros have firewire and sd slot. If you don't need firewire and the spec bump isn't a big deal to you then yeah it's worth it.It's the unibody mac book right?
