Boston initially attempted to sign McDyess in 2004, but he opted to join Detroit.
Knicks PursuingHarrington; Spurs Seek Curry?
Harrington_Al_gsw_080329.jpg

Nov 07, 2008 2:26 AM EST

nyk_40.gif
Donnie Walsh isfamiliar with Al Harrington, a player he has already acquired twice and could add to his roster once more.

The thinking is that Harrington would fit Mike D'Antoni's up-tempo system because he can run the floor and spot up behind thearc.

The Knicks are said to be dangling Eddy Curry but a third team may need to be involved to make the tradehappen.

The San Antonio Spurs are desperate for additional scoring and may feel they can revive Curry's career byplacing him next to Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. But it is unclear who the Spurs would send to the Warriors in such a deal.

The Warriors are reportedly asking for David Lee to complete a straight two-team trade with New York.
Nellie And Harrington FeudHeats Up
Nov 06, 2008 10:43 PM EST

gsw_40.gif
Don Nelson wasasked following Wednesday's game if Brandan Wright done enough to earn more playing time over Al Harrington.

"Well, absolutely. I think two things are going on here. Al wants to be traded, I think everyone knows that, and we would like tooblige him. We'd like to get a good player for him. He's playing like he's unhappy and I kind of feel for the guy because he doesn't want to behere and it's probably very difficult to really gear it up and play up to his ability.

"I made a deal with him that I was going to play him as many minutes as he would want and I would have kept that word. But whenhe surprised me with going public with wanting to be traded, it's made it pretty difficult for me and everybody else.

"And he hasn't been playing well to go along with it, so we might as well start making the change now. I think the people inthe league know he's a good player and know that if there's a trade to be made there, we'll make it. But our front line is young and some of theguys are on the bench a lot, but Brandan is ready to play more. So I'm going to play him, and I hope I'm not breaking my word. But I've kind ofbeen forced to change the way I was going to go about the playing time with Al."

Nelson continued when asked if he felt the Warriors 'needed' to trade Harrington.

"I think Al will be traded, but we've got to wait until we get the right deal for him. But in the meantime, I have to bringhis replacement along. I don't know what kind of player we're going to receive for him. It could be any position from one to five. We just want a goodplayer in return."

As reported onhis Knicks Fix blog, Alan Hahn spoke with Mike D'Antoni about the progress of Knicks' rookie Danilo Gallinari after returning from a backinjury.

"I think I might have tried him a little too early," D'Antoni said about his decision to insert Gallinari into theKnicks' season opener.

'Antoni compared Gallinari's trouble keeping up with the NBA pace to a minor leaguer who cannot yet hit a major leaguecurveball.

"The speed right now has got him a little bit," D'Antoni said. "He sees things he wants to do, but he can't getthere. The game is moving a little bit too fast, and he needs some more times on the floor with these guys and then I'll put him in.

"The biggest thing is his activity in practice; I keep watching him to see," D'Antoni said. "As soon as he getsready physically, whether we win or lose ... he'll play. [Skill-wise,] he's ready."

Hahn also notes that the NBDL draft is Friday night. The Knicks could look to take Patrick Ewing Jr. so he starts learningD'Antoni's system.

Yeah, Jeff Green is playing some great D over there.
Initially, I didn't like the Westbrook pick for the Sonics, but I was wrong.
He's fitting in really well, I like him there.

Anyway, I just wanted to say...
Blazers 76 points
Clippers 79 points
Dever 97 points
Clippers 88 points
Rockets 82 points

Kobe and Ariza on the perimeter are locking fools up.
The impact Bynum has made is huge(blocks, changing shots in the paint, boards). He's only going to get better, he looked kind of uncomfortable in his first1/2 games, but since then he's been playing really well.

Lakers are winning by a plus 22 point average right now

well George Hill is 1-0 as PG, and they did beat the so far above .500 Knicks.

I thought the Timberwolves were going to turn corners this year, but missing almost all your shots down the stretch on the road with the lead vs the Warriorsis not a good look..Gerald Green in the lineup again with Howard out again last night -----

Oden says he's ready to play 'full game' for Blazers
Updated: November 12, 2008, 2:13 PM ET

Greg Oden Says He Will Play Tonight (ESPN, 8ET)

MIAMI -- Greg Oden says he's ready to play.

The Portland Trail Blazers center says he'll play Wednesday night against the Miami Heat (ESPN, 8 ET), even though the team is listing him officially as a game-time decision. Oden has missed the Blazers' last six games because of a sprained right foot suffered in Portland's season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Feels good. I'm ready. I'm excited," Oden said after Wednesday's shootaround. "I'll hopefully play the full game tonight."

Oden was the No. 1 pick in the 2007 NBA draft, then missed all of last season following knee surgery.

I said it the other night in the Lakers game thread.... LBJ = MVP.

Sure, it's too early to say.

But there's no doubt in my mind he's winning it this year barring injury.
