The Official NBA Season Thread: NBA Cup Night

Its why basic fundamentals of boxing out and rebounding in general are gone.

Everyone just wants to do double step backs and chuck away.

I only play that way when I'm crazy tired. A regular 1 v 1, no one in NYC is really doing that.

It's a 1 v 1 game man...that's the best opportunity to work on your iso game.

Pure hoops. No fake fundamentals

the 3rd party inbounder changed 1 v 1 forever. I was already washed and out of the game by the time of that innovation unfortunately but being able to start possessions in the post or even coming to the ball so I can hit that no dribble jab handswitch 1st dribble crossover would have been lethal for your boy

IMO thats not real 1 on 1
1 on 1 is starting with the ball at the top of the key and going from there

3rd party inbounder is just practice

but if you're doing 2 dribbles, it's not hard to stop someone starting from a standstill with 2 dribbles. Literally one slide and they're not going to be able to penetrate you and have to shoot something contested
