And tanking is just out of control this year because of how high people are on this draft class.

It’s not a 1-2 player class you can land at 7 and still walk away with a player that would be top 3 in most other drafts.

Just no incentive to be a middle of the pack team when you could have a 50/50 shot at talent like that
 
NBA draft is blown out proportion IMO. Yes you'll get that generational pick but that doesn't guarantee long term success.

Wemby got lucky to get picked by SAS. They were developing great talent even in their "tanking" years. I mean look what Dallas is doing to Cooper rn :lol

Only 2014/18 comes to mind, but most of those guys aren’t even on the teams that drafted them.

The only real tanking team that won a chip is OKC. So again, its blown out proportion.
Who did Spurs develop while tanking? Vassell?
