Probably not Day 1 anymore. Might get GTA Trilogy instead, give it a couple of months.

GTA IV was really dark story wise with the main character Niko being from Eastern Europe. His cousin was hella annoying though

I bought the game on release date and went to the midnight launch at GS. But yeah I started the game and took like a year and half off before I finally beat the main story.

The episodes DLC were honestly better and more fun.
