Now I am wondering if one of the following scenarios is more correct than the other. My friend believes that a name followed by jr or III can only be bestowed upon a father-son relationship. My argument is that in certain cases, it is the mothers last name, also that if say your are not named after your father but say a second uncle, you can also reasonably, be called a jr or the III, seeing as you still share the same name. I believe all these cases are reasonable, my friend does not agree.

What about George foreman? Are all his children entitled to the respective names? (3rd, ect..) or do they have to be generational, as in son, grandson ect..?
