The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

^^^

Same boat. Picked up Killzone over the weekend but all this talk about TLOU, made me put TLOU in the starting line up

When is PS4 getting that suspend function?  I like how i can wake my Vita up and go straight into the last game i played right where I left off.

This was in sony's reveal over a year ago.  I'd love to be able to suspend a game and boot up the PS4 without the loading, scrolling, more loading, selecting continue story, etc.

One of the few things that's dope about the One.

Pretty sure ms is paying for the exclusivity
Yeah it makes sense for MS to be paying EA for this exclusive use because why would EA deny any profits for both systems? It's pretty obvious MS is paying EA and Sony most likely either doesn't want to try and upbid MS's offer to EA or don't care as much for exclusive access

Yea ms is known for doing moves like this in order to gain an edge over sony and make the xbox more desirable.

Sony didn't want it because it's a competitor to their own programs( psnow and plus). You can pretty much read it in their statement. Why would somebody pay the outlandish PS now prices when you can get EA access( down the line) that has a bunch of games for $5

Yeah MS is always pulling stuff like this which is why I'm not surprised :lol

This is true and quite frankly I hardly care for most EA games besides Mass Effect. I stopped liking BF after BF3 and I don't buy sports games a majority of times so I don't have a reason to want it

Report came out today that Sony turned them down. They had the chance.

They had some BS about Playstation users not wanting to spend more money just for EA games when they already pay for PS+.

What about the other 30 subscription services on your platform?

I personally couldn't care less about trash EA games. But it is something I am sure other have feelings about.

this was a smart move on their part. this service only offers EA games and newer games have a discounted price that is all. PS Plus is a better service because it doesnt just offer PS exclusives. While EA has a lot of great titles, I am not going to pay 5 dollars a month to maybe play 1 or 2 of them. You would be better off paying the 10 dollars and get gamefly.

I played TLOU for 8 hours straight after I left work "sick" yesterday.

OMG it's fantastic, Elle cracks me up lol

I'm playing on Normal difficulty and I think I should have went harder, not having too much trouble...yet :lol

PS3 + has great games. Ps4 gets indie stuff when compared to even old ea games. I'll take the EA stuff. And last time I checked I couldn't rent 4 games from gamefly at the same time( 1 game is $16)

Games like TLOU where I care about story more than gameplay I always play on the easiest setting so I can get through the story smoothly.

Then after I beat them I usually go back and play on hard to get the full experience.

Lol im the total opposite. I always play it at the hardest difficulty available. I feel like it helps when you jump into the MP in general.

Then if i liked the game x really bored, ill go back and grab all the stupid collectables I missed so I can hear that trophies sound off

gotcha... sony should have at least given consumers a chance to say no. it would have been cool if i could pay for 1 subscription and use it on the xbox and ps.
i have both consoles so I'm not feeling any kind of way but I'm def surprised that MS didn't throw a boat load of money at EA for the exclusivity as they've done in the past for other things :lol
THE PLAYSTATION NOW OPEN BETA BEGINS TOMORROW IN NORTH AMERICA
Open beta to kick off with 100 games.

BY VINCE INGENITOThe PlayStation Now open beta begins tomorrow for all North American PS4 owners, and the service's Senior Director Jack Buser divulged some details to IGN during a recent interview.

As has been mentioned previously, Sony is looking into offering a flat subscription fee model for its upcoming PlayStation Now game streaming service in addition to the a la carte pricing currently seen in the private beta.

"We're working diligently to bring a subscription option to gamers to compliment our rental offering for PlayStation Now," said Buser. "We believe that offering both of these options would provide gamers the freedom to discover and play games in ways that weren't before possible."

Buser couldn't offer concrete details about when such an option might become available, and was careful to note that nothing was set in stone. Pricing for PlayStation Now rentals as they exist now are still in flux, with Buser stating that they'll be looking at feedback from users throughout the beta process. Some games will be offered at a rental price as low as $1.99 - one dollar lower than the current lowest price in the private beta. Buser also mentioned that a "rent-to-buy" solution is also being considered, but that with the service still being in its early days, it's simply too soon to tell.

PlayStation Now is already receiving a healthy level of publisher support, with 50 companies committing to make their games available for the service. Buser also let us know that 100 games would be available at the start of open beta, and that new games would be added over time. Be sure to stay tuned to IGN for new game announcements as we learn about them.
